As they say..."to each his own". But IMO you are likely buying a nearly wore out truck that someone else didn't want to fix. But if you like working on vehicles, go for it.

If you've got 10k to spend, I say look older with less miles. The only reason I bought a truck with 154k on it, is because I couldn't afford anything else. You can get probably an '03 or '04 with half the miles for a similar price.

Yeah...I understand what you guys are saying.

As far as price, around this area, $10,000 still buys 01 and 02 Silverados, 4x4 ext with 100k+ on them, if it is in decent shape, and taken care of.

What's jumping out at me?? It's an **05** model, with 120k on it, for the asking price of 01 and 02 Silverados.

I'll take a good look at it tomorrow am and report...

The pictures do nothing for me in a decision nor do the miles. I wouldn't offer anything unless you get it inspected by someone you trust. The add says 8 cylinder but which motor? They are not all created equal. For some reason consumers still have this 100,000 mile barrier in their head. 100k is a puppy now, I bought my 04 with 120k on it (it's a diesel though). The real question is what kind of miles were those. I don't think I'd buy it if there were signs that there was a lot of towing with it unless you can see that the things that get killed by towing have been taken care of. If you have that kind of miles on an 05 you can be sure those miles were not spent idling or pissing around town. I would consider light hauling highway miles better than heavy hauling short trips. In the pics it looks like ther is a new bed liner, take a look under it, we put those on any beat up beds it's anyones guess what it looks like under there. Looks like she's got some new shoes which is a good thing unless you were planning on replacing them anyway and the trailer hitch looks almost unused. Do yourself a favor and spend a couple of bucks to get someone to look at it though. I can take a picture of a pig that makes her look like a playmate.

Edit:I agree I'd probably put whatever a cluster costs into the decision making.
