Duramax Performance

Hello my name is Mark. I have a 06' Silverado 2500HD crewcab duramax. My truck has a 6" Fabtech left with 35" Toyo's on 18" alloy wheels. It also has a K&N cold air intake, 4" MBRP performance exhaust from the turbo back & a Triple dog programmer with the outlook monitor. It's a really good looking truck & the power that it has is unreal for a truck that size. I was going down the road a few weeks back & a smaller truck, lowered to the ground, sounded really good pulled up next to me getting on it wanting to run-em so i swithed it up to extreme mode and just left him. Man the black smoke that thing puts out. Anyway where i was going is were i get all of the goodies for my truck & the guy driving the other truck happen to be going to the same place, come to find out he started to work there a few weeks before. We got to talking & he had a 350 Edelbrock crate mtr. in his truck & he said it turned high 13's, low 14's (made me fill good when he told me that) he was blown away, he could not believe a truck as big as mine could run like that. Enough about the truck, the triple dog with the outlook monitor does really well but i know a few people that have the Edge joice / attitude combo & the power that they have is great also but there fuel milage is really good, better then mine. My question is i was thinking about removing the triple dog & swithing to the edge, does anyone prefur one over the other, i've never tried the edge on my duramax. Does anyone have any advise for me rather i should swith or not? Also can anyone that has a edge in there duramax give me a little info. on what they think about it as far as the power, fuel milage basically the over all performance of it? Sorry I can't offer any advice on the Edge, as no Duramax here.

my bro had the bully dog tripple dog downloader and outlook monitor...it did damdge, ltierally, they had the power come in at the wrong times and such, ate turbo, trans and hurt engine, so unless they have it fixed...checked out PPE? my bro has it on his 08 and its working good so far...

sorry don`t know anthing about the edge, they make it good for the gassers so i`ve heard, my dads got a superchips programmer on his totall stock 07 durry crew-cab long box 4x4 and hes getting 25mpg average...

Thanks for the input. The info on the bullydog damaging the engine has really got me wanting to try something new. The PPE being used on the 08', how much did it help his fuel econamy & does he know about how much HP he gained with it? Thanks again for the input
