Tailgate Protector

I have a 07 2500 HD. The tailgate protector is getting chewed up from sliding things over it. Is there an aftermarket protector that can go over the existing one or does the existing one have to be removed? Top of my rails are Line-X but I need something more durable on tailgate, not sure if protector is going to match but not important. Thanks, plowking

ICI Stainless .... i love stainless... last so much longer, way more durable, and looks nicer or WADE makes a plastic cap witch is just as flimsy as the one you have on there.. and you have to take the stock one off to put anything aftermarket on...

You could try and see if one from a 1500 would work. They are much meatier.
