Why?

 

It'd be nearly impossible. First, you'd have to build a custom adapter to bolt the bellhousing to the engine. You'd have to procure a custom clutch and slave cylinder to adapt the 18spd's HUGE input shaft to the 4.3's dinky flywheel. You'd need to make an adapter to bolt the tranny to your transfer case, move the crossmember back, lengthen the front driveshaft, shorten the rear driveshaft, cut the floor out of the truck, shorten the shifter in the 18 spd, install an air compressor for the splitters and range selectors, yadda yadda yadda....

 

That's not even considering the purchase price of the tranny, which is not cheap....

 

Not worth it, man!!!
