Fender Flares On 4.5 Backspacing On 35's

i just got my 18x9 rims with a 4.5 backspace i am curious if the factory gm fender flares will cover all of the tire with the tires being 35's? or do i have to get after market ones? thanks

How far do the tires stick out past the fender?

Probably not, I had 16x8s with 4.5" bs and 33x11.5 tires on a HD and it stuck out a bit, picked up a lot of crap and threw it along the sides of the truck.

i have no clue how far they are going to stick out yet i just wanted to have it ready to install when i put on the lift and the tires so i should prolly go with the erg fender flares they give an additinal 3" to the flare as apose to the .75 that a stock one gives

I'm a fan of the Bushwhacker Pocket style flares myself, seems like they would offer enough protection and then some.

Yea, i would go with the bushwackers Ranger suggested...they look cool...but they have a big price tag

Yeah, that's the only reason I haven't gotten them yet, I still have the factory 18s and they don't stick out much so waiting to see what happens with an aftermarket rim before I get flares.

I like flares too, but I DO NOT want the Bushwacker flares, or any flares that butt up to the outside of the fenders with a thin black piece of trim and are not sealed.

 

I want the kind like the OEM GMT800 trucks had where they were attached to the fender lip and SEALED against the fender at the outer edge.

I actually liked the flares on my Colorado more than any other GM alternative, it gave the truck a nice muscular look and it offered a lot of protection.

yeah i am ordering some bushwackers right now for 300$ they are the only ones that i can find that will give me the most protection and most flare distance

hah maybe not that is just for the rear ones i think that i will just have to install the lift with the tires on it and see how far i need them...

yea...thats alot for just rear flares...you could get oem all 4 for that!!!

I thought I've seen some for 400 for all 4...
