04 Silverado And Kenwood Ddx 7017

Hello all.

 

It has been a while since i've visited but my 04 Silverado has been flawless in its 57k miles. Other than a steering shaft it has been the best truck i've owned.

 

With that said. I ran across a deal from a club member for a kenwood nav, dvd, cd player. My truck has the bose system with the six speakers, sub in the console, steering wheel controls, onstar, and xm. I want to retain all those options but install this head unit. Can someone give me a idea or maybe a list of things i'll need to complete this? I'm going to do a thread search but if some has some insight that has done this swap please let me know. Also, one of the buttons on the steering wheel does not light up. How do I fix that? It is kind of annoying at night.

Contact your local audio shop they make a device that incorperates the steering wheel controls into an after market cd player. If i remember correctly mine for my grand prix was about 140.
