My truck came with 265's .... however the last owner put 285's on the truck.. which is fine. Question is, do I run these 285's at the PSI noted on the tire ??? it says max 65 psi cold - that sounds real high.

I know the stock 265's are supposed to be run at 35 psi as indicated on the sticker on the door. But didnt know for sure if I should be running these 285's at 65 psi

thanks,

65 psi is the MAXIMUM pressure, not the recommended pressure. The number on the door sticker would be a good starting point. One way to check if you're running the right pressure, is to rub a line of chalk across the tires, and go drive around the block (don't hit anything wet :D). If all the chalk wears off, you're pretty much good. If only the center section is worn off, let some air out, and repeat.
