hypertech or jet

which is a better choice to get more hp, hypertech or jet performance chips. Ive notices that hypertech has all the features as jet but the only difference is that you have to get more than 1 product for jet like the top speed limiter and shift improver. Which is a better but the hypertech programmer or jet products. I mostly want better 1/4 time so i guess im gonna need some more ponnies.

My understanding is that you will get a more overall improvement from JET. While Hypertech only helps when your throttle is wide open.

i also heard the same thing, that jet gives more hp from idle on up. the only good thing i see in hypertech is that you can change the speedo for different size tires.

My biggest concern leading to the purchase of the Hypertech is the widespread acceptance of the PP3.

:) sorry about the faces, just think they are kinda cool; anyway, from the research I have done, here is the breakdown of the differences that I have found.

Jet: cheaper if you need only power or only tranny help. not too good if you want an all-in-one deal.  Cost is comprable with hypertech(for trans and engine combined).  Transmission chips are a problem because you can use one or the other, not both(ie. top speed eliminator and shift point adjustment or higher stall speeds, higher internal transmission pressure for better shifts).

Hypertech: All-in-one deal, can calibrate speedo, shift points, top speed, engine air-fuel curves, transmission pressure, 87/93 octane tuner, etc.  Main problem is not as much gain(usually) as the Jet chips and can't be moved from vehicle to vehicle(remembers VIN's)

Jet also plays with the air-fuel in 400rpm increments while hypertech does it in 500rpm increments.  I have had many salespeople who I trust not recommend Jet, but will recommend Hypertech and Superchip, so personally I probably wont get the jet and may go with either of the two.  Hope this helps some.
