Lbz Check Engine Light/ Egr Problem

In the past several months, I have had the check engine light come one twice. This has happened while towing a 5000 lb trailer on level ground. The dealer said that it was due to a malfunctioning EGR system. The tech was surprised that it did not effect the engine performance. The light was reset. Any input on what problems are out there with this EGR would be appreciated. I was hours away from home and really do not want to get stuck because it goes into limp mode....are there any programmers that can deal with this.

I believe you can disable the EGR with the PPE.

You can and should clean egr valve. The pindle can get carbon build up on it. Use non-chlorinated throttle body cleaner and an old toothbrush. Dealer should be able to tell what DTC code number was read.
