The basic difference between Busch Series and Windston Cup is the weight and HP of the cars, right?  Any other major differences?  Are the rules the same? Point system the same? Is the Busch Series sort of the "minor leagues" for guys waiting to make it to the bigs?

Basically yeah.

The Ford's busch engine is a part of the Cosworth program (Indy cars). While the WC Ford cars do not.

Another difference is when they come to talladega and Daytona. WC cars have these lil' strips that go across the roof that punch a bigger whole in the air to help the draft, which stiffens the competition. The BGN cars don't

There used to be a BIG difference in engines back in the Late 80's and early 90's. The busch cars had V6s back then. If I remember correctly, HMM, now that I think about it, that's what the sound of a "Fart-Can" reminds me of.

Yep, when the Busch cars had v6's, they sounded like a pack of ticked off bee's.

The wheel base between the cars used to be different too, but can't remember if they still are or not.

The point system is identical to the two series. BGN cars are two inches shorter on wheelbase the WC cars.

The Busch cars also have a smaller CFM carb, and they used to also have a smaller compression ratio.  Not sure about all engine stuff anymore, they have made several changes the last couple years.

Yeah,BGN guys get like, ?,000 a race (And that's just the winner's take). Where as the winners in WC get ?,000+. At the end of the year All the Top Dogs in WC end up w/ atleast  ?.5-3 MILLION added up in winnings. I think only a handful of BGN drivers have made over ? Million in their entire BGN career (And that's like 5-10 years combined).

Money's been such an issue this year, Only 2 out of the 20 or so BGN races already held this year have raced an entire field (43 cars) all the others have had like, 37 car fields out of 43, they' been consistant w/ full car fields up until now.

WC guys have like 50 guys qualifying for 43 positions  in the race. Sime ppl have to miss the race.

Yes the wheelbases are different.  I don't remember the numbers but I do remember this year a statement about it.  The compression for the Busch cars is 12.0 to 1 up from 9.0 to 1 last year.  I think the Cup guys run around 13.0 to 1

Now don't hold me to these numbers, these are the numbers I remember hearing.

General, the reason for the low #'s in Busch is the cost of the engines.  Some of the teams can't afford to do all new motors due to the rise in compression.
