"FIGHTING TIME

NASCAR is considering penalizing Kevin Harvick and Chad Little for an altercation between the drivers after the Busch race.

Apparently angry with Little for something that happened during Saturday's race, Harvick confronted him in the garage.

Little responded by throwing a drink all over Harvick, which led to a scuffle that resulted in Harvick getting knocked to the ground.

Little finished 13th in the race while Harvick, the Busch series points leader, was 14th.

Harvick was also called into the NASCAR trailer after Sunday's race, where Triplett said the sanctioning body discussed aggressive driving with the 25-year-old.

``We keep a close eye on overaggressiveness,'' Triplett said. ``You want to be careful about crossing the line between aggressiveness and unnecessary.''

Meanwhile, NASCAR said there will be no penalties levied against rookie Scott Wimmer for his post-race actions.

Wimmer was apparently chasing down Jeff Green on the cool-down lap, still driving close to full speed, when Greg Biffle innocently cut in front of him.

Wimmer's car hit him solidly on the left side and drove on top of Biffle's roof. He later apologized."

I don't know about anybody else but this all is starting to look alot like when NASCAR singled out Dale a few years ago.  It seemed like everything he did he was in trouble for, whether it was his fault or not.  I wasn't even a fan of his and I could see it happening.

Now they're picking on Harvick and Jr.  Yeah I know the first one was Jr's fault at Darlington, but the second looked to me like it was Blaney's fault in every replay.  I think Blaney cut over on Jr., then NASCAR threatens to penalize him if he even touches another car the rest of the race.  He touched Blaney again at the end, I'm suprised they didn't go ahead and penalize him.  And another question, why didn't they penalize Blaney for being so stupid at the end and causing that huge wreck???? Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems strange to me that NASCAR jumps on Harvick and Jr for stuff (some of which isn't their fault), but then people like Brett Bodine and Jimmy Spencer can wreck several people week in and week out and never get penalized or even talked to.  But I guess if those guys were contenders in a race every now and then they might get in trouble too.

Seems really strange to me as well.  If anybody deserved to be penalized it was the idiot Dave Blaney.  He took out about 10 cars in one move.  I don't see NASCAR trying this on any of the older drivers when they cause wrecks, so why just Jr. and Harvick?

I have also noticed that over the past few years NASCAR has been trying to snuff out any rivalries before they get started.  Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon could have been a good one.  Bad thing about it is, rivalries are good for the sport.

I do agree with them picking a certain few to scold.  Jr did get the bad deal sunday.  The second tap was not his fault.  I think NASCAR tries to put these rivalries out before they start because it is to dangerous out their to have a grudge.  I have seen drivers take out other drivers and it just isn't a safe thing to do. Who cares if it's off the track, but it always seems to makes it's way to the track.

If NASCAR wants to penalize people for causing wrecks because it is safer, I have no problem with that.  I think it's great.  But if they do it to one they should do it to all, AND they should make sure they penalize the person who is at fault.  Jr. almost got penalized for the second tap and it wasn't his fault.

As for the off the track stuff, if the gus want to fight let'em fight.  As long as they know that if they do it on the track they will have to pay.
