Dic Upgrade. 1st Mod

I posted this another forum ... maybe the wrong forum... so I'll repost..

I ordered the DIC upgrade from the GM accessories store. What is the procedure for removing the old dash panel? Is it going to finger pull off? Work it off prying with a screw driver? How many clips? HVAC hose snug fit or clamp? Do the switches just pop off and pop back on? Am really sweating screwing up the dash on my brand new truck. Will be sick if I ding it up. Thanks

Hand pull, remove switches, plug old switches into new trim piece, push back in place. It's that easy.

For better details though check the link in my sig to the DIC Upgrade!

Click the DIC Mod link in Daddy's signature. There are 30+ pages of information on that mod (including pix). However, after reading the entire thread, it really appears to be one of the easiest and cheapest upgrades you can do. Average install time was less than 10 minutes.

I'm headed to my dealer right now to see if he has the parts in stock; if not, I'm ordering them online TODAY!!! Thanks DADDY!

did the 08 come stock with that or did my dealer add it? I have that same set up and it tells me damn near everying about my truck.

I believe it's a factory add.

This is off of a GM parts site , while fishing around the accy section for 09 Silverado:

"Not For Use on LT Models, Includes Instrumant Panel Trim Plate 19159438 "

Say it isn't so!! Is it so??

I only got about 6 pages into Daddys link but figured I'd get the answer more quickly this way.

Link???
