Installed a GateKeeper to hopefully keep my tailgate where it is.
Also installed Timbrens on the rear. The ride unloaded feels much better to me, less lean on corners and not so much of a floaty feeling on bumps. I'll be testing loaded performance tomorrow...
Trucks are so much better to work on. I'm taking my car in at 8 or 9 years old for the serpintine belt. No friggin way I'm even going to try to get in there.
Figured I would actually put my truck on here after being on the forums everyday for the last 7 months without making any posts lol! Feel free to ask any questions, I enjoy this community you guys have.
Build Date: 07/2013 (5.3 w/ 3.42 gears) 6" Rancho 35x12.50r18 Nitto Trail Grapplers
Full exhaust delete and replaced with Flowmaster Super 40 2.5" dual in/dual out (dumped behind bumper)
SmittyBuilt Steps Worked with Lew for some amazing results. Considering CAI. Was going to do a gear swap to 4.10 but Lew fixed my mpg loss from the 35s. I have slight interest in headers, have not read too much on anyone having them however.
If that vinyl fails or gets too hacked up there are other options to replace it if you want to keep the look.
You need to use vinyl that is made to adhere to “Low Energy” surface….. Plastics, they use this for graphics on things like ATV’s and snowmobiles, motocross bikes, and then laminate with heavy duty laminate to protect it from chipping and fading.
Yes, I assume that is all possible but unfortunately, I had a body shop do the work while I was traveling so I wasn't able to see the wiring setup or harness configuration. I'm sure someone with a little wiring experience could get everything to work without burning the truck down to the frame!
Good luck!!!
Ordered a set of the black grid with silver countersink pedals and floor kick plate today from Performance Pedals. They state 3-weeks to manufacture and deliver. They should look sharp with the black interior and floor carpeting.
I decided on the Leer 550. I liked that it was waterproof and covered all of the black plastic on the bed rails. I painted the handle on the bed cover to match my truck and I removed the "LEER" lettering from the back as well. So far it's served me well. I paid $915 for the cover and install.
Put in a drop in K&N air filter two weeks ago. Might be a placebo bit I swear it runs and responds better.
Today I put on the Access Tonnosport Tonneau Cover. I did more research than I care to admit. Went with this bc of full bed access, no drilling, and sleek look.
Thus far it is greatm install was by the book. Small problem with one clamp but it was easily fixed.

I have the Extang Trifecta Signature Series. It takes about 2 minutes to remove the entire thing and about 5 minutes to put it back all by myself. It stays dry under there too.
