  1. @Yondu go for the Magnaflow 12589. Sounds like you will be pleased with the sound. I've had the 12909 on my 2015 6.2 AT for 4+ years and like it. Not too loud or droney even when towing a trailer. Cold starts are louder than stock but the neighbors won't be annoyed with you. Nice deep, mellow tone and lets you know a V8 is under the hood when you gas it. At cruising speed on the highway 60+ mph drone and V4 chop is minimal even without the flapper valve. (Kept stock resonator) Around town I manually put the truck in 7th so that V4 mode is disabled. I ordered the muffler through Advance Auto using a 20% off coupon. Including installation the muffler was $155 or so. Look for a reputable exhaust shop who will carefully measure the stock muffler and flapper valve and cut them off precisely. Welding up the Magnaflow shouldn't be an issue if they know what they are doing. Good luck.
  2. Gave the All Terrain a 3 bucket wash and a coat of wax late yesterday. Will finish up the interior later today as only had a chance to vacuum the carpet and clean the Husky mats.

  4. To view transmission temperature on driver information control (DIC) screen do the following: 1. Press left arrow on steering wheel to take you to menu options on DIC 2. Scroll down to settings 3. Scroll until you reach Info Pages and press right arrow, different options Oil Life, Tire Pressure, Fuel Economy, etc.... will appear. 4. Scroll down to the Transmission Fluid option and press the check mark button. 5. Exit the menu, return to Info Menu and scroll through the transmission fluid temperature will appear. Lots of good advice above re: towing. Give yourself plenty of space between cars and anticipate having to slow down ahead of time. The brakes on your truck are adequate for daily driving, all bets are off towing 6K pounds or more. Familiarize yourself with how the truck and trailer feel at different speeds. With a 20 foot trailer weighing 5,500 pounds Ioaded, I occasionally pull for work 68-70 miles per hour is the fastest I feel comfortable driving as the sway is minimal. Faster than that and the ride gets harrowing. Good luck and safe travels.
  5. @Dinner your Chevrolet looks great! The blacked out theme really sets it off compared to the chrome on the GMC. Your brother needs to paint/wrap his bumpers and grille IMO.
  6. Well said Tyler. My 5100's make for a more controlled ride but they are a firm shock. If someone is expecting a Lincoln Town Car or Cadillac Fleetwood soft/floaty ride with Bilsteins best look elsewhere. Largest difference I noticed were on a set of railroad tracks located on a sharp curve. With OE Ranchos my truck would "skip and hop" at the rear when going over tracks. Bilsteins eliminated that issue but again they are firm.

  8. 2015 All Terrain 6.2 Developed the dreaded tapping sound on left side of engine. Push rod on #7 cylinder was bent and valve lifter stuck open. All valve lifters on left side replaced as well as #7 push rod. 25701 miles on truck and 12.5K miles later no issues. However it did convince me to purchase an extended warranty from James E Black Cadillac. Had been changing the oil and filter every 7000-7500 miles, after engine work went to 6K max between oil changes.
  9. Another option to consider is the Halo Kifts Boss Kit. Somewhat pricey but includes springs and rear blocks. Reviews have been positive from those who have installed them.
  10. IMO just use a good exhaust shop who will measure twice and cut off stock muffler and flapper valve exactly as required. The 12909 will fit slightly canted up in back but no worries. Not much to go wrong as long as everything is done right.

  14. GM Performance Borla cat back exhaust system. Not inexpensive but should be what you are looking for quality and sound wise.
  15. No worries use what works for you. I follow the instructions on the bottle of Meguiars Interior Spray Detailer and have no issues. Distilled water and Woolite was recommended by a local detailer for leather seats and door panels. Use 1.5-2.0 oz of Woolite to 20oz of water. No problems with this either yet. Bought a gallon of Meguiars D156 X-press Spray Wax after looking at Auto Fetish Detail's YouTube videos. Guy uses it on exterior paint and trim, glass, interior trim, panels and leather seats. Will report back on my findings once I use it on the truck.
  16. On door panels use either Meguiar's Interior Spray Detailer or Woolite diluted with distilled water.
  17. Topped up my windshield wiper fluid tank with Rain-X fluid. Rained everyday here since Sunday and don't want to be without fluid while on the road tomorrow.
  18. Looks good Expensive. Digging that mod. I just finished wiping down my interior with Distilled Water and a light mix of Woolite. Took the dog to vet and he slobbered door panels, seats, and console. Luckily my X-Act liners protect the carpeting.
  19. Love the blue mrskiff. Reminds me of my old indigo blue 97 Tahoe Z71 two door. Had the grille, bumpers, mirrors, and handles color matched like your Silverado. Looks fantastic IMHO. ??
  20. Sorry for your troubles CJ. Hope they match the paint well on your Trail Boss. As for removing spray liner overspray a clay bar may do the job if not too thick. Otherwise one could use gasoline on a cloth to lightly rub out the material. Either way it will be necessary to apply a paint sealant or wax afterwards.
  21. Spurshot, a member here, put King Shocks on his All Terrain. Uses it for trekking to his hunting or fishing camp through a considerable amount of rutted out roads. Another member from Mexico has Fox shocks and goes off the beaten path as well. From experience some major roads south of the border can be similar to a farm to market back road needing major work here at home. For how I drive daily and infrequent trips to ranches, Bilstein shocks and Toyo RTs fit the bill. If I drove through those same ranch roads/trails every day I would probably have gone the King/Fox/Halo Lifts route. YMMV
  22. Maiden 69 your exhaust looks good. Probably need to run Dynomax Super Turbos in the largest size body/case that will fit, or swap to Quietflows, and add more resonators. From experience Ultraflos are loud. Had an Ultraflo cat back system on a 95 Impala SS with Borla headers and it was crazy loud. Goeb for the 6.2 and long tubes your best bet may be to use the GM Borla system with side exit option. Fear that anything else might be too loud and drone like crazy.
  23. Friend's wife had a 2015 Tahoe LTZ with MagnaRide shocks that went bad right at 50K miles. Luckily they were covered under extended warranty. She stated that the ride went from stiff and choppy to smooth as silk. Had the OE 20's with 275/55 Michelin tires. As other poster stated your ride sensors were either not calibrated or shocks have gone bad.
  24. Congratulations the truck looks awesome! Black on the Silverado Trail Boss conceals the front corner openings and gives a menacing look. Enjoy your truck and thank you for sharing your initial observations and pictures.
