  1. Pics of my truck with the AMP power step.
  2. You are correct, can't see them up close, from ten feet they look like the rockers are black. I haven't had a chance to shoot a pic yet, but I will this weekend. Mike
  3. Well there is a Company who can turn it off and it's not traceable if it bothers you that much. Too expensive for me, for what you get. I'd rather get a tune and have the ability to shut the AFM off.
  4. Well, I removed everything up to the last catalytic converter ( to include the "whistler' and the spring flap BS) replaced with a 18" magnaflow muffler. No more whistle sound and now my truck sounds like a v8.
  5. It's actually pushing air out and has a slight whistle to it. It may be more audible once condensation is present, hence the every couple of seconds. IDK just guessing here. Mike
  6. There is a weep hole back by the resonator. I initially did the muffler delete, and it sounded terrible, the weep hole noise was certainly more pronounced. Just put your finger over it, while the truck is running. Not sure I'd permanently block it as condensation will certainly build up in that area. Ticking noise is nothing more than the direct injection.
  7. I see that is for the outside handle, my issue is the inside handle, there is a cable with a ball on the end and a clip. I think I seated the cable correctly but forgot to clip it. I heard it fall out when I was driving to work. Mike
  8. I'm not sure what I'll do but clearly I didn't do anything to this one. All the other three door work with no issues and I remember hooking the latch up on them, I have no memory of hooking the driver's door up. I was in a hurry when I put the door panel on and evidently I either never hooked it up or I didn't clip it. Oh well, if that's all that went wrong, I consider it a success. Thanks for the tip on the fishing line. I'll decide what I do this evening. Mike
  9. Got my Amp power steps installed this weekend. Took about 7 hours over 2 days. Had some issues with the instructions (color blind) person wrote them. Had me searching for dark gray wire, when in fact it was light gray. Other than the wire issue, it was fairly easy. Time consuming as Me nor my friend (who is a GM Master Technician) had a clue. We had two panel retainers that were smashed from the factory when we took the front door panels off (replaced them on re install). Overall, I'm extremely pleased. I'll put up some pics, soon. Mike
  10. I've got the Chevy tri-fold hard cover. Initially wasn't impressed (my own expectations, previous AV owner) Been on the truck since September and I can honestly say, I love it. Does what it was designed to do, just wish the vinyl didn't flap in the wind. Mike
  11. That wouldn't be BH would it?
  12. Yeah, that was my worry/concern as I looked at the instructions. I have no issue tearing into a motor, but when it comes to electricity, I'm not the best guy for the job. Best of luck to you and your install, mine will get there by the weekend. Mike
  13. Not noticeable before MF exhaust. Definitley hear it now, not so pleasant but tolerable.
  14. The fit sure is nice and tight to the rockers. I like how they blend. Mine won't be getting installed until Monday. Be interesting on mine how the black Amps will look up against the white diamond. May be another plastidip project. Mike
  15. I tend to do that also...
  16. Thanks for the write up? How long did it take you? Curious as I want to do my Amp Steps and the tail gate lock all at once. Especially since I will have to remove the kick panels for both.
  17. I guess an old fart can learn something new. Thanks
  18. well laddi dah!!!!!!!!! Pics when you get her back. I took my boards off yesterday, I think it looks better already.
  19. 3.23?? From what I've heard it's 3.08, 3.42 and 3.73. Not sure if that's what you meant. Mike
  20. About $500 and yes the piping is aluminized. I also went with the 18" think the cat back is 22". I'm not independently weathy, so $500+ in my pocket is a big win in my book.
  21. Had mine removed along with the resonator. No more clanking noise on start up. With the Maganaflow 18", it actually sounds like a truck. Mike
  22. I have zero issues with mine, works as designed. Mike
