  1. Does anyone know anything about the new v8? Displacement?
  2. Has anyone heard anything about the new v8 engine they are going to build? size? It was announced a year ago. I figured some info would leak out about it by now! It was for trucks and SUV’s.
  3. Can someone give me a print out of GMs parts diagram for a 9 speed 2018 equinox transmission. I specifically need the left axle shaft seal area. My seal is leaking after installing a new ACDelco axle and seal. I’m wondering if there is a part inside the trans that may be bad such as a race or bearing that may sit behind the seal? No warranty left.
  4. 2018 Equinox with 360 view camera system. The front grille camera is just black like it’s not working. Tried tracing the camera wire, but can’t tell where it goes. Can’t find a fuse for it either. Any idea what to do? I can’t find any wiring diagrams either...Thanks!
  5. Has anyone upgraded their 2014-18 Silverado rear camera to one with better resolution? If so, where did you get it and is it plug and play?
  6. 2 inch leveling kit from Rough Country and 275 65 18 Michelin Primacy tires
  7. Had a very annoying dash rattle near the hood latch. Removed the 2 Lower torx screws and pulled off the panel under the steering wheel. There are 4 bolts concealed behind this panel. 3 of these bolts were ready to fall out. Tightened everything down and no more rattles.
  8. I noticed that the plastic pieces on the back of the cabs between the bed and cab are peeling at the top. These are rub strips that keep the rubber gasket from touching the paint. Has anyone had the dealer fix this? If so, how did they fix it? Remove the bed?
  9. Has anyone tried a Spectre brand cold air intake kit 9006. They are normally $149 but on sale for $135. They are aluminum, would plastic be better to not heat up the air coming in to the engine? Any known trouble of check engine lights on after Spectre installation?
  10. Here is a pic of what I was talking about. It came factory On 1996-98 Silverado/Sierra trucks. Probably Pick up one at a junk yard for $10 bucks.
  11. I thought about getting an under hood storage box from a 1997 or 98 GM truck. It said "GM truck" on the box. It came that way from the factory for storing items. Google it for a pic.
  12. I'm waiting to hear from GM, mine looks about the same as yours after being at the dealer overnight. What is your next step?
  13. The pics of the hose clamp fix is on a post about 2 pages prior to this page. I don't recall a positive dealer fix for the movement. The hose clamps work. It's a five min fix.
  14. My frame is really rusted. Left it over night at the dealership for undercoating. When I went to pickup the truck, guess what I found? Rust! They only sprayed undercoating around the exposed frame at each wheel well. A blind man could do better. I contacted GM by phone and then sent pics by email, waiting for their solution. I asked them how will it be possible to cover or spray the entire frame without removing the bed and cab. This is just unacceptable for a 40,000 dollar truck! It's really embarrassing! Anyone got any advice or has had a response from GM concerning this matter?
  15. I just did the hose clamp fix, took 10 minutes and cost $2.00. I didn't buy the electrical clamps to get the rubber pieces from, I just used a piece of rubber shrink wrap or you could use a piece of old bicycle inner tube. This really works! I've had it to the dealer for this problem, new clips were installed, seat movement was back in 1 day. The hose clamps are the best. GM needs to fab up some black clamps similar to hose clamps for a fix and do a recall. I wonder if the new F150 will have similar problems and recalls.....I'm betting paint peeling will be a big problem for the aluminum and the start stop will have problems.
