  1. I run my hid's on basically all the time as DRL's. I have the 5000k bulbs with the 35 watt ballast. In my opinion the 5000k bulbs with the 35 watt ballast are a little too blue/purple for my taste. But I bought a set of 4300k bulbs and they looked too much like oem and didn't match my 5000k led's fogs. If I could go back again I would of chosen the 55 watt ballasts with the 5000k bulbs as they would of been whiter.
  2. They look good, thats for sure. Let us know how they ride.
  3. Lol you go through mufflers like I go through shoes. Let us know what you go with. Some people have been lucky and been able to buy the Corsa Sport muffler by itself. I've looked around and can't seem to find just the muffler.
  4. I had mine grounded to the same areas the first time and had issues as well. The driver side light would not always light up and the relay would buzz all the time. Eventually I had to get my relays replaced because some moisture got inside and when I reinstalled my kit I sanded some paint off and have had no issues since then. Light up right away all the time and no buzzing. If you don't want to sand paint off your going to need to extend the grounds and ground to the battery.
  5. If my Bilsteins are here by the end of July I'm gonna look into these.
  6. Just fyi, I placed my order for the 5100's with Suspension Connection back in June 20th with an expected re-stocking date of June 24th and the fronts are still on national back order. They gave me an estimated date of July 31st. So I MIGHT be able to get these installed mid August. :/
  7. I'm assuming you grounded to that mount where the black bar goes 45 degrees to the radiator support. This is where I did mine, just make sure its making proper metal to metal contact. I haven't had issues since I did that during my re-installation.
  8. Yes, the Sierra spec kit is easy to install but I'm like you, when I first installed it it took me like 3+ hours because I'm not very wire savvy. I ended up having to extend the grounding cable on the driver side ballast to get a nice installation. In retrospect I should of just extended the cable to the battery and installed the relay on the driver side extending to the passenger, opposite of how its normally installed. would of been a cleaner setup since there is a big empty space where the AUX battery should go.
  9. f'ing yankee I bet u love Obama too Why do you hate America? That's me and my beautiful wife from a year ago. I'm currently in the Marines in sniper school. So don't mess with me.
  10. Why? It was an accident and I'm sure the other persons insurance will cover it.
  11. TRS sells a Sierra spec kit with everything you need. Just choose your bulb and ballast wattage. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/hid-systems/morimoto-elite-hid-system-sierra-low-beam.html#.VYvt3xNViko
  12. The 5100's are designed to be used on a stock truck. The front struts have adjustable spring perches which allow you to lift the truck up to 1.8" which is basically level. The rears can be used on a truck up to 1" higher than stock. If you are higher than that you can still use 5100's, it's just a different part number.
  13. Those wheels are the OE SLE 20x9+27 Wheels. The 285/65r20 is basically a 35x11" tire. Looks really good too.
  14. The pic is not working for whatever reason. Another question I have is, do you always need to have at least 4-5 psi in them? I've always been told that with air bags you always need to have some air in them to keep them from rotting out/getting damaged, and even with that little amount of air in them they will still aversely affect ride quality. Not sure how true any of this is. I don't tow enough to justify them, but if I ever went full leveling kit I would definitely invest in a set to keep it from going to a front end rake while loaded.
  15. Did you go with the onboard compressor as well? Pics man, we need pics!
  16. Honestly I didn't adjust size or anything pic as far as size wise goes. Just looks different since the image inside the quote is a bit smaller. Just ran it through light room and adjusted some sliders. Added a bit of exposure and contrast. Same with shadows and highlights.
  17. I've had those before. Picked one up at Costco a few years ago. If left exposed to the elements do not expect it to last long. The metal mechanism will rust right away.
  18. It probably has something to do with all that extra weight you were carrying in the back of the truck bed You have those Anzo headlights with the Anzo supplied hid kit right?
  19. When I had my 2004 Ram 2500 there was (and currently still is for that generation of trucks) a huge issue called "Death Wobble" This was only an issue on the 4x4 models with the live front axel. Basically due to either tires, miss-aligned suspension, shocks, or a combination of all, you would get a very violent vibration after hitting a rough patch on the road which would not go away until speed was decreased. This is a good video of it below; I bring this up because its sort of similar to what we are currently experiencing. Dodge would balance tires, re-align suspension, etc, basically cover all its bases and still some people could not sort it out. Others found that certain brands of tires would be more prone to death wobble, so members on the forums were urged to replace those tires first. I remember the original BfGoodrich KO's were known to cause death wobble. I think in our case the Goodyear tires seem to be causing issues. Although a member up top did say he experienced vibrations while on the stock Continental tires as well. Do users on the 18" wheels also experience vibrations? It would greatly help is users would post the basics of their trucks when posting complaints. Things such as year, make, model, cabin type, engine, rear end, suspension package, milage, wheel size, are all important factors to keep track of. Who knows, we might find that z60 packages are more prone to this or vice versa.
  20. The problem you will face now is that there the dealer will probably not look at your vibration issue now, since you have added several aftermarket parts. Can you post a little more info on your truck? Cab layout? 4x4? 6.2?
  21. My particular black bear tune does not have AFM disabled. I was going to flash the stock ECM and TCM tunes but I couldn't find the OBD2 cable early this morning and was in a rush to be there before they opened since I did not have an appointment. I figured I would be ok since they were just going to balance out the tires, and I was. I thought my vibration was a little odd, if wouldn't happen at a specific speed but in the 65-75mph range. Usually if I hit a pothole or something it would vibrate until I slowed down. It was exactly like the guy captured it in the video below; If the link doesn't work start video at 3 min mark. It was mostly in the seats and center console which indicates it was a rear tire issue. AFM being on or off did not affect the vibration and in my experience my engine runs perfectly smooth on both v8 and v4. And its strange what you say about fuel economy not being affected after disabling AFM. I know other members on here have said the same. I might have Justin disable it on another tune but I tend to like it as my MPG will climb into the 20's during highway use. My latest full tank MPG average was 18.5, that's with the 91+ tune. That was about 70% highway vs city driving.
  22. For the record I went to the dealer this morning to get my truck inspected and have them look at my vibration. My truck has 26k miles and it was the first time me being at th dealer for this particular issue. Long story short I paid $50 to have my tires rebalanced and that fixed 95% of the vibration. I still get a very very slight vibration on the steering wheel but I'll drive a little more and see if it gets worse.
  23. That's honestly not a bad deal. I know the Ford HID Projector headlights go for ~$1200 on ebay with a similar plug and play harness. The SLT headlights are great looking and drastically improve the daytime appearance of the truck. I found the website too, had never heard of it. I think if I was to spend $1k on headlights, it would be for an FXR projector retrofit. That's just me though.
