  1. There's got to be something there my brain can't comprehend. It doesn't make sense to me that all but a couple of the catback exhaust kits out there for my `21 6.2L are 2.50" and all the kits available for a `17 5.3L are 3.00" pipes. What am I missing here? I understand there are backpressure needs, but wouldn't more displacement at least dictate that this should be the other way around? What am I missing here?
  2. So it's been a year+ since this post. Are you still happy with your cutouts, and what brand and style did you use? Awesome truck!
  3. My 2021 Silverado HC has the 6.2L / 10spd combo and no AFM and no stop/start. Coming from a 2014 Sierra Denali with 5.3L 6spd, with AFM. This new one is incredible. Instant power and the drivetrain feels so much more solid and stable. When looking at the new ones, the 6.2 window sticker shows better fuel economy than the 5.3... but I am definitely getting a little worse than the old truck did. Not much worse, but a little. I'm pretty sure it's because my new shoes are heavier than before... I can't seem to stay off that gas pedal.
  4. Yes, and it presents no issues. I've been running this way for 2 years. In fact, I've had multiple people stop me to ask how I got my cargo light to come on in reverse because the added light adds to visibility when backing up at night.
  5. MPG after the upgrades? Are you happy you did it? Your setup looks perfect to me.
  6. Can you explain more on the topic of towing and the lack of clearance getting you in trouble?
  7. Sorry I cannot find it. I found it posted on the forum here before but can't seem to find it now. Has to do with seals and replacement door pins and re-alignment of the doors.
  8. There is a TSB on door seals and door alignment that could be the solution to that, but I don't believe it has anything to do with a level.
  9. Man that looks good. It's darn close to level with just a slight rake. You still rocking the factory tires? What size are they?
  10. It looks great. Don't suppose you have a pic directly at the side while it's sitting on level ground?
  11. Where did you get the 1.75" rear block? The RC website lists the block in the 2.5" kit as a 2" rear block. Does the kit actually contain a 1.75" or did you use a different block?
  12. Pretty much exactly what mine look like.
  13. I like the duratracs and am considering. Has your mileage been affected much by the level and tire swap? You're the first I've seen with the exact setup and size I want.
  14. Did you retighten the ones in the middle of the sway-bar, as well as all the ones connected with the Bilstein install? They always say to recheck after some mileage. Also, just a question... did you get your alignment, yet? Could they have left something loose?
  15. Check sway bar end links. Your comment appears often in the forums. Most usually someone didn't tighten them, or something else, enough.
  16. How does everyone know the 6112s are better if they're not yet available?
  17. I have tested through quite a few tanks of each 87, 89, and 91+ and I can say that 89 seems to be a sweet spot for my truck. I could not see a difference in my MPG calculations, or my butt-dyno, between 89 and premium. However, when I went from 87 to 89, I see smoother idle, smoother acceleration, and 1-2 mpg better fuel economy. It more than makes up for the extra $2 per fill up. I do not have a tune, but have spent significant time reading everything I can about our engines. Black Bear Performance seems to be one of the best when it comes to tuning our trucks. Therefore, I think I would trust them and their advice on this subject. They have the following info in the FAQ section of their website. 2007+ 5.3L engines. At 10:1 compression, this engine (all variants) cannot run efficiently on 87 octane. Power output and mileage will be noticeably better in 95%+ vehicles simply by switching from 87 to 89 octane. 91+ preferred.
  18. Looks good. What size tires/rims did yours come with? I want to lift, but also can't see throwing away tires I've already paid for. How did the ride change after your lift?
  19. Your install looks fantastic. So we're coming up on one year down the road from your post. How is everything holding up? Lightbar still working as expected? How about the grill? How has it held up to the heat of those uber hot lights cooking away behind the grill? Any warping or melting? Thanks for the information!
  20. So did you get this fixed? Was it in fact the CV joints or something else? Do you think it had to do with the motofab level kit? More info please.

  22. He had a leveling kit (or maybe small lift 2" or less, I can't remember) and stock wheels. I'm not sure how many miles, but it was shockingly low. I do agree that sometimes it gets down to truck to truck variations. Overall, I've had fantastic GM vehicles over the years, not so much with my Dodges. Everyone has their favorites. I loved my Durango (1st Gen) and liked my Charger. I just didn't like the never ending repairs to keep them going. In my GMS I've been annoyed but not stranded. I can't say the same for the others.
