  1. Thanks. That truck is long gone. I got a 2020 Trail Boss with the 5.3 back in March.
  2. Probably right. Just something to consider.
  3. LOL. No kidding. I was just thinking that with the final drive being different that the shift points will be wrong.
  4. What about getting the computer re-programmed?
  5. 2020 Trail Boss. 5.3L / 10-speed - Crew Cab - Standard Bed (6' 6") - Towing Mirrors - Hard Rolling Toneau - Wheel well liners - AVS AeroSkin II - Putco strip light under tail gate - clear bra on bumper, grille and front of fenders - GM off road side steps.
  6. I agree. The wife's Camaro SS with a stock exhaust does that. Sounds great!
  7. Isn't it a good idea to do the exhaust when adding a supercharger? You are cramming more air into the cylinders and expecting it to flow out the stock exhaust and not take a performance hit?
  8. Great write up. I'd like to ask a few questions. What was the parts cost? How much is a Range device? You said that the DFM make a bit more noise than usual. I have never heard mine. Not once. What does it sound like? I remember hearing AFM but nothing so far with DFM.
  9. None of those will gain you a dime at trad-in time. Keep the $1500 and put it towards the new Tahoe.
  10. I'm just not a fan of the look. The crew cab short bed is not attractive to me and adding the cap made it worse. Just personal preference so please don't hate on me. I would like to see pics of a cap on a standard bed trail boss.
  11. I had a clear bra installed. Covered the bumper, horizontal grill bars and front of the fenders.
  12. You could try a road force balance but I'm not sure that will help.
  13. Mine were factory installed. No whistle.
  14. Doesn't work that way. The L84 is NOT E85 compatible. The L84 (5.3L w/ DFM) doesn't have an alcohol sensor. It can't "learn the fuel". I haven't checked yet but I bet the injectors are different as well. E85 requires a higher flow injector. It contains about 30% less energy therefore requires 30% more fuel. Why would you spend $40+ grand on a truck and put fuel in it that it isn't designed to run on. If you have the L83 (5.3L w/ AFM) then it is E85 compatible and should not have caused a CEL. From your signature you have a 2019 LT which should be the L84. The Custom trims still use the L83.
  15. check out whiteautomedia.com. They may be able to help.
  16. My 2020 Trail Boss has the factory GM hood deflector installed. I'm not really a fan. I don't care for the spring clips that hold it on. I am ordering an AVS Aeroskin II. I have had the original Aeroskin on the three previous trucks and I love them.
  17. Used Opti Lube in my 2016 2500HD. Never had a single issue.
  18. LOL. We have only one station that has straight gasoline and it is 93 octane. Like I said, I'm in corn country.
  19. My '18 did not have an ethanol sensor. I could have added one fairly easily but the tune would have voided the warranty.
  20. It's availability does vary. It is available everywhere here in the mid-west. Corn country!
