  1. Maybe she asked for the little window sticker?
  2. I got my 8 speed fluid and filter changed for free on this TSB: Tsb
  3. New fluid made a huge difference on my 8 speed. Smoothed it out and cut the wierd clunks and bumps by 80-90%!
  4. Growing up on the west coast they were called “camper shells.” Here in Colorado they’re “toppers.” It seems to me the “shortbed” would be most popular. The 5’9” is what I see most often on the k2xx series trucks.
  5. I’m looking at the 275/60-20 wildpeak at3w’s also with bilstein 1500’s on the 2nd from highest setting. Any other problems? Mpg? Tire noise? Balance issues? Speedo error with gps? Thank you.
  6. Leer offers a battery powered led interior light that ive had for 3 years now on the original battery. Easier and safer than wiring into the truck.
  7. I need to weigh it. The murphy bed fold right up with sheets and pillows on it and folds back down exactly how it was. No idea how but it does. We went with the murphy bed for the exact same reason you said. Couch during the day, bed at night. Storage underneath. Search youtube for the 201bhxl One size bigger would be great but this one doesnt have a slide so less upkeep on that. We were looking at a forest river one size smaller but found this one on the lot discounted. We looked at jayco and keystone. Liked them alot but the dealer wouldnt budge on the extreme prices. We got this one for 16k. I’m sure there are better deals out there but we are very happy and my truck pulls it great. Towing mirrors and a 6.2 is all I wish I had different.
  8. Something may be bent. Here is a whole seat on ebay. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F264096886298
  9. I ordered a new Leer 100xl right after I bought my 2017. The color is somewhat unique and I figured my chance of finding a used one was slim to zero. Mine was $2000 installed with roof carpet and led interior light.
  10. I tow a Forest River 201bhxl with my 17 crewcab 5.3 8 speed 4x4. Dry weight is 4233 pounds and loaded is around 5k. It tows great but you can definitely feel it behind the truck. I use a WD hitch and no sway control. I get 10-12 mpg towing. If i ever upgraded campers I would definitely want to upgrade the rear suspension or get a 6.2. We have a blast with the kids in this camper. Here we are setup at the Seven Peaks Festival last year.
  11. I currently have Duratracs in stock size. 275/55-20. I’m looking at the wildpeak at3w in 275/60-20. Are there any recent reviews on the deep snow and ice traction of these tires. The duratracs are excellent in all conditions, a true “all terrain” tire. My duratracs are just about 60% worn at 23k miles. A little noisy with age but still great in the snow. My plan is to replace the DT’s before next winter. I’m trying to decide what to get.
  12. Based on what?
  13. Same here, a set of duratracs and road force balance fixed mine too.
  14. WTF I want my 17’ charger replaced.
  15. Mine was squeaking also at 12k miles. I could only hear it with the window down or the backwindow open. I used a 1.5" drywall screw through the open corners of the squares with the valve open. It has a teeny bit more sound at startup, no other difference.
  16. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to a level "kit" spacer, etc vs the bilstein 5100's set to middle or max height? Im thinking about getting the 5100's as an overall upgrade to my stock black shocks. I've had them on other vehicles and always loved how they ride.
  17. I agree something is wrong. But if you put better tires on your truck to get rid of the garbage that comes on it from the factory, the dealer will say your tires are the problem.
  18. Mine shakes at 73+ mph. As do many others. I woul bet the majority of them do. Many folks dont notice, dont care or think its a trait of a pickup truck.
  19. Mine is great 98% of the time. Butter smooth, quick upshifts, i love it. Then you are driving through a parking lot at less than 10 mph, brake, gas, turn, CLUNK. I also get a bit of slip accelerating onto the highway first thing in the morning. Like if you rest your foot on the clutch while accelerating. Only with the wheels turned. I wonder if that is some computer torque management kicking in. Oh well. I bought a 100K bumper to bumper through GM so it's their baby if I ever need it. No software updates to date on the trans. Seems pretty good most of the time. And pulls a trailer like a dream. The old mercedes derived 5speed auto in my hemi charger clunks like that but at higher speeds, 45+ with brake gas, brake turn gas gas gas! applications. I think it may be the unfortunate marriage of computers, sensors and multiple gears packed into small cases. My old 3 speed stage 2 turbo 350 with 400 hp 350 chevy in my hotrod clunks too. From first to second with a tire chirp every time above 2500. Thats how we like it though. Nothing is perfect. But as these trucks get newer and more expensive our expectations grow with them. If I bought a new corvette that clunked like that I would be pissed that my wife vetoed the manual trans and cry in my whiskey glass at night.
  20. Checking back in, at 7300 miles now, i had my stock size 275/55-20 Duratracs re-balanced while I watched. After that the truck is smooth up to 85mph on afreshly paved road near me. There is a little jiggle but nothing like it was with the stock tires and with the duratracs 4k miles ago. Ive taken the truck out of town and on some rough roads to try to get the shake to come back. Its still pretty darn smooth. Mine is a 17, do we think they really made a big enough change to he 17's to makeit livable with properly balanced tires? Just looking to add to the conversation.
