  1. I have a 16 Denali 6.2L with MRC in a CCSB 4X4..i haul a 7k trailer and don't have any issues with it riding rough. Do you have a WDH with stabilizer (weight distribution hitch) and is the trailer riding level when hooked up? I do have a WDH and it does make a big difference in how it helps control the trailer. Have you taken your truck to a weigh station to see how balanced your load is? From what I read the Denali loses some of its carry capacity versus other models due to extra weight for all the different add-ons as well. It could be your pushing the limits more? Other than the items noted above I am not sure why switching has caused you the issues if the trailer is the only item to change but these are some of the items I would check out. These are just my blind guesses if I am missing some thing please let me know. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  2. Subwoofer help

Been running for almost 2 years the jl 13tw5, 0.8 cubic feet, (sealed Enclosure), JL HD 500 , Lc2i digital converter with my stock bose system. I think it sounds great... Box from subthump.com...had them make for the passenger side to make it where I could store items on the driver side under the seat. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  3. Any one found out if a 2019 wireless charger is 1. Fits in a 2014-2018 model or can be modified too easily fit? I have Phil's pigtail installed to upgrade my 16 to 18 wireless charger already... Works great but always want a faster charger. 2. Is the 2019 version a quick charge wireless vs a 2018 model. Thanks in advance if you hear an update. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  4. Adding a Powered Subwoofer

I did not lose any of my other items/functions (been running 2 years now) ... To be honest I did not notice a louder sound in cab with or without the stereo for me.. I should note I do have CAI and Magna flow Muffler (removed stock muffler, flapper) so I have a little more engine and exhaust noise purposefully. When cruising 70 mph though I am super quiet. I was surprised. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  5. Adding a subwoofer to Bose

None at all... I cut the wire (purple and blue? -crankshaft replicating wire) that sends signal to the bose AMP that tells it to engage the noise cancelling. I posted somewhere else the details of the which sometime back... I just don't remember all the details. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  6. Injector failure #5

My injectors were 1, 2, 6 & 7...but changed all... Also changed associated fuel pipes and gaskets. Had to change oil as well due to high possibility of fuel contaminating the oil. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  7. Injector failure #5

I had 4 injectors on my 16 - 6.2L Sierra Denali go out about 1 1/2 months ago. Replaced all 8 just due to nervousness that the other injectors would domino effect from some items I had read. I don't have time to sit in the dealership. They will ask you about using 93 octane top tier fuel (which I have since it had 3 miles on it) truck had 37k mileage and injectors are not covered by power train warranty. I will say this my gas mileage has improved by 1.5 mpg on several road trips. Not sure if it is just timing or what but I am at least happy to see that out of fiasco... I will go look at paperwork to verify which injectors. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  8. Fuel Injectors ?

My previous 2008 SD with a 6.2L was bought by my brother has 180,000 miles and zero injector issues as well. I know it is a GDI engine but come on 37k. It concerns me that mid body style GM changed the major warranty items from 100k to 60k....I thought about it before purchasing but now I am really trying to understand. Did they know after two years of running the new engine design and other items going into 2016 they needed to alter the warranty? My 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix (0 fuel injectors), 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (0 fuel injectors), 1998 Vette (0 fuel injectors), 2000 Silverado (0 fuel injectors), 2008 GMC Sierra Denali (0 fuel injectors), 2016 GMC Sierra Denali (4 fuel injectors, 8 replaced). I know stuff happens and this could be a fluke but a good number of people have been noting this issue and so did the dealership since I was the 3rd vehicle in the last week to come in with P050D. 9. Fuel Injectors ?

I just had this on my 6.2L at 37k about a month ago...I had the p050d and p0300 with 4 cylinders found with issues. I got GM Assistance to cover half the cost of the 4 cylinders and had them go ahead and change all 8. I tried to find out if the part numbers of the injectors had updated for 2016 to now in hopes that an upgrade occurred to minimize this from popping up again in another 2 years or 37,000 miles. Never found out if any changes occurred to the parts. All is running really well now but super disappointed that an engine with this low mileage could have this happen. They did tell me that injectors they have changed none had come back with the same issue again. I hope that is the case. They reminded me to use top tier fuel which I only use but that was where they go first to see if you are. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  10. My bass knob is in the map holder area on the side of the console. I hid it under the top lip of the map/paper holder. It conceals the knob completely but I can access it while driving as well. I don't think you would necessarily need a lc2i depending upon the aftermarket radio having a pre-amp output. But also not sure what your bass knob options would be either with the aftermarket head unit. Again all of this may be dependent upon the options offered as part of the head unit. Good luck. 11. I got my empty sub box at subthump.com...built it for what I wanted....solid build, some custom options, priced fairly, and timely deliverly. I can't complain had it now for 1 1/2 years. Did not make a folding seat...Added my amp and LC2i under the driver side of the backseat (fully under the seat near the back wall). I added the amp at an angle that matches the folding seat drop so I can make adjustments as needed without seat needing anything but raising the bottom portion of the seat. Has been working great. Good luck on finding your sound. Added bass knob as well to adjust while driving. Makes it super easy to adjust. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  12. For my 6.2L I used a 12909 Magnaflow to replace OEM muffler, resonator and flapper delete....12909 is a 22" muffler with 3.5" inlet and outlet so there might be a better model of similar design for 5.3L Good start up growl, when cruising hardly any sounds above oem sounds (very minimal to me) and when giving it the gas over 1750 rpm's she really comes to life with sound. Good luck finding your sound. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  13. 6.2L with Bad Injectors

Wow they told me they were only covered by bumper to bumper and specifically not covered by the powertrain warranty...It is a powertrain code that comes up but someone on here read something stated fuel injectors were specifically excluded from the list of covered items under powertrain. If any of you have information that specifically puts these under a warranty coverage at 37k mileaage with no extended warranty please let me know and thanks. Also if anyone has the original part number for injector I am curious if it is updated for 2017/2018 models... I am still driving the loaner at this point. Anyone from GM Assistance notice this thread I would appreciate a discussion on this. I am electing to have all 8 done as I am concerned about future break downs if I don't. 14. 6.2L with Bad Injectors

Tell me about it...can't wait to see what else.they find.... Hopefully nothing. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  15. Got about 4 codes that included p0300 and p050d for issues. I took in to dealership and found out 4 injectors are bad. Of course 37k mileage and not covered by powertrain warranty. GM Assistance has offered to cover 50% of the 4 injectors cost but I am having all 8 changed in hopes of a better design since 2016. Does anyone know if the part numbers or updates have occurred that may address this from happening again in another 2 yrs or 37k miles? GM Assistance of 50% seems a little low in my opinion but has anyone had a different experience with them? Before someone says it all I use is 93 octane and top tier fuel. I am confused how this seems to be happening to many of our truck too early in there life. I won't have my truck back until late next week due to difficulty in getting some if the parts due to National backorder...Hmm National backorder that could mean a high number of repairs occurring. Thanks, Michael Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
