  1. I don’t have any experience with this company & looks like might have to go though a stealership or body shop to use them? but might be worth checking them out & see if you got a guy in your area. https://www.bumperman.com/before-and-after-photos
  2. Tan one says make offer buy it & a gray panel gets you everything you need. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2018-Updated-Silverado-Sierra-Tan-Overhead-Console-With-HomeLink-OEM-84145823/193095193585?hash=item2cf55ed3f1:g:DIEAAOSwA1hdd-8X This gets you the box & buttons still need harness & panel says make offer https://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-CHEVROLET-SILVERADO-OVERHEAD-CONSOLE-HOMELINK-INSERT-SWITCH-GRAY-OEM-B58/274268290948?fits=Model%3ASilverado+2500+HD&hash=item3fdba9ff84:g:nlUAAOSwYABeRyAc or with harness https://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-CHEVROLET-SILVERADO-OVERHEAD-CONSOLE-HOMELINK-INSERT-SWITCH-GRAY-OEM-B58/333567988442?hash=item4daa3392da:g:aHAAAOSwKk5eiqu6 The “box” for 35 bucks https://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-HomeLink-garage-door-opener-transmitter-assembly-module-Console-mounted/274083499674?hash=item3fd0a64e9a:g:IG4AAOSwGLddzxyN
  3. Sun glasses holder got more bigger I believe was the “change”? stole off an ad for one on Fleabay... This overhead console has the updated sunglasses compartment. The original one on 2014-17 opened 1.5" and had a curved opening, this one opens 2" and has a straighter. You can actually put your sunglasses in it! This will replace the 2014-17 style poorly designed overhead console.
  4. This was one of the first mods I did on mine when I got it in late 015. At that time nobody had whole consoles in stock as they were back ordered. I get a decent discount on that site so that helped also. At that time there wasn’t any used ones on Fleabay either I have since den then pop up on there from time to time now whole consoles & just the homelink panels. When my wife had her Nitro I bought the homelink visors off there for 25 bucks shipped to the house & gave my detail guy 10 bucks to clean them up. They looked brand new Dodge wanted 200ish for the one visor... I also remember I had to find my own screws that hold the box to the console as GM doesn’t sell them separate. Not having to waste your time trying to find 2 that will work is worth the 6 bucks difference in price.
  5. yes on my 015 I just added the opener, harness, buttons & cut out panel to my original console. Total time to do was probably an hour. I used this video on youtube as a guide. Guy is long winded as hell so skip ahead if you use this one. This was the parts list for mine from GM Parts Direct when I ordered mine. I got the grayish trim not the tan. Details Part Number Part Name Price Quantity 23341161 Garage Dr Opener 1 22834550 Garage Dr Opener Button 1 23127742 Harness 1 23104432 Trim Plate 1
  6. I work outside year round. I hate seat covers and leather seats. For the seat back I use a couple old T shirts (tuck the neck hole under the headrest) swap them out when I wash my work clothes. Use a old bath towel for the seat bottom when needed. Carry a couple industrial clear plastic thrash bags for when I get rained on all day and have to ride home wet. One to slide over the back/headrest and one for the bottom. Date night/vacation just pull the T & towel & go. I definitely second the Febreze but I recommend getting the “auto” fabric original scent if your not into your truck smelling like a yankee candle store. Hit mine once a month to keep it fresh. If you already got the stenches use Ozium air sanitizer (original scent) to get the funk out. I use this once a month in the old farm/plow truck. A little goes a long way.
  7. It’s on their website (Q&A section?) but if I remember correctly I believe it’s at least ten (10) key cycles they recommend.
  8. If you’re creative you can make your own.
  9. I meant to add this thread to my post. It will so you where and how to get your power and ground. It’s already fused but another inline fuse won’t hurt nothing if you’re worried about it. Shouldn’t need the relay since they are LED
  10. read though this thread. you can get power/ground under the bed by the spare tire. In fact you can wire them up just light in this post. Not sure why you think you need to tap running lights for? (unless you meant reverse light?) and shouldn’t need the relay since they are LEDs and don’t draw much amperage. I wired my Rigid sm-r back up light this way years ago with no problems.
  11. Check Ebay for powder coated ones. Before I bought my GM red ones I was considering going white. At that time there was a guy selling different colored ones for I believe 60ish a set. On the 014/015s anyway you can remove them without cutting the bolt or removing the bumper. There is a thread on here somewhere with the youtube video on how to do it. Basically you loosen the bumper bracket that’s in the way and use a pry bar to move it enuff to get the bolt out. Then when you put it back together reverse the bolt or replace it with a shorter one like stated above. thread with video
  12. I had a burrito for lunch. Just thought I would add something else that has absolutely nothing to do with the question asked since that seems to be the thing to do...
  13. First and foremost stop driving it in winter. Otherwise it will never last forever no matter how clean you keep it. Unless you live somewhere the DOT doesn’t use salt. If a winter beater is not an option plan on saving some money for rust repair & rusty parts replacement starting around year 10.
  14. F the Ram look at all the brand new 5.0 RCSWB supercharged trucks for sale at various stealerships around the country with 650-700 hp for 10k over sticker with a limited warranty. Bang for the buck nobody is going to beat this. It’s to bad GM has decided to only sell T1 RCSWB in the middle east even though they come off the assembly line here... I’d love to see what Callaway would do with them? I read some article with a interview with a GM executive & he said something to the effect of we’re looking into releasing them into the North American market based on interest. I ain’t holding my breath...
  15. if you just remove the blocks with stock struts or 5100s set on stock height you will still have a slight rake in the rear. I believe it’s about 3/4 of a inch. Another option is 2” drop shackles for the rear leaf springs and leave the blocks in. There is several companies that make them. couple threads
  16. I bought 2 printed GM antenna tools from Jim https://jms3dprinting.com/ . There’s a pic of it in the photo gallery on his site. I was trying to find somebody to sell me one of the ones that come on new GMs (or used to anyway) and couldn’t find any for sale so I took a chance on these cause they were fairly cheap.I really didn’t know what to expect as far as quality, usability, ect but they are better than I expected. Good luck with your switch panel & post some pics when you get it done.
  17. https://www.chevrolet.com/index/experience-chevrolet/connected-services-nav/in-vehicle-tech.html on this page on Chevy.com their is a + next to Spotify (as well as some other apps) if you click it it says to visit Spotify.com to sign up no subscription needed. There is no + next to Pdork so I think Pdork is standard (my 015 even has it on the screen & has been since day one even though I’ve never used it once). Also this page has a disclaimer on select 018+ models. So maybe it’s a mid year model change thing?
  18. DUHHH Pandork is blocking you cause they know you’re wanting to cancel service (there’s a pay service version of Pdork? Who knew?) & they can’t afford to lose 1/3rd of their customer base... Found this somewhere else. I’d guess you need Onstar to make it work? OnStar Marketplace connects the vehicle directly with third-party apps for Domino’s, IHOP, Shell and others.
  19. Page 3 of this thread. Not cheap but seems to be the only option without splicing/cutting wires.
  20. obviously the quality of the reinstall is going to depend on the tech(s). @STRMTRPR posted in this thread that he had the recall done already. He’s probably about the only one so far so he’s probably the guy to ask? Hopefully your dealers idea of the fix isn’t replacing yours with a solid window... I’m with you can’t imagine the fix requires removing the window? No wonder GM has been dragging their feet so long on this one....
  21. WAMS whites auto media service can reprogram your BCM to eliminate hyper flash there’s several threads on here about this service. I’m currently running factory LED tails on my LT with the factory5 harness with built in resistors but looking to have wams do my bcm so I can get rid of them and run led turns in the front without them.
  22. Dorman 99352 comes with the “box” to program any fobs The cheapest price I found was Rockauto 60 bucks shipped
