  1. There is a “no fob” reprogram process outlined in the manual & it wipes out all the currently programmed fobs. That is the process you’ll need to complete. Of course you’ll still need to rekey all the lock cylinders. That’ll be the more expensive part of the two.
  2. I had the exact same issue. Same messages on the screen, had WiFi but no internet connection, apps that require data didn’t work, etc. I was on/off with Onstar a few days. They had finally escalated my issue to a higher level of tech support. It was getting late in the evening & I told them I was done hanging on the line with them. They said they were going to continue to look into it & they would call me the next day to further troubleshoot the problem. By midday the following day, my problem was gone & they never called me back. Haven’t had an issue since.
  3. It’s handy as hell. I don’t always have my fob on me when I need to access something out of my truck.
  4. My 2014 Sierra Denali 1500 had a second battery tray. I had the compressor located there for my Air Lift air bags. Not sure if the newer 1500 models have a second battery tray though. Perhaps it depends on the options or trim level.
  5. You’re fine. The sensors themselves are inside the tire. If they get wet, you’ve got bigger problems.
  6. It is backlit. I don’t think that the battery is meant to be replaceable. The whole unit has to be replaced once the battery dies. Although where there’s a will, there’s a way. I’m sure it could be done.
  7. I purchased two chipped keys for my 2020 GMC HD as a hidden spare key. It was $15 for both from Amazon. I had them cut at a local dealership for $12. Mine is push button start so the mechanical key allows me to open the door & then I place the key in the transponder pocket & I’m able to start it. I realize your truck doesn’t have PB start but I think a similar set up would work for you. I did the same thing for my 2014. I also bought a spare FOB & had the integrated key cut at the same dealership. The FOB I learned to the truck myself.
  8. I get that error all the time. Sometimes shortly afterwards, I’ll get a message saying that the brake controller has been recalled. Even if I don’t get that second message, when I confirm the controller setting, the preset output is always at the correct setting anyway. I just associate it as one of the numerous glitches that this system had.
  9. I use Bullring tie downs. They retract when not in use. https://www.bullringusa.com/product-category/tie-downs/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrdL2-82H6gIV6cuGCh1tjAW0EAAYASAAEgLcPvD_BwE
  10. I did the 2x6 thing and sprayed it with bed liner in a can. I also made moveable pieces to use as dividers.
  11. KARNUT, I think you’ll enjoy this article. It’s pretty much where I’m at too. https://aapsonline.org/cornoavirus-covid-19-public-health-apocalypse-or-panic-hoax-and-anti-american/
  12. Couple of issues with TFLs review. They failed to mention the hitch view on the GMC tailgate camera. Not sure if the others have the same function but it should’ve been mentioned either way. The biggest thing that the TFL failed on with their review is the overall functionality of the tailgates. The Ram & Ford tailgates are one trick ponies. The GMC not only has 6 different functions, you can also add lights & a radio for additional functionality. They made a brief mention of other features that the Multi Pro has but they completely dismissed it in their categories & point rating system. It’s almost as if they ignored it on purpose and ignoring features in a “tailgate features” review, totally negates the review itself. Dumb.
  13. Have you looked at any of the other threads about this issue? There’s some solutions & workarounds discussed in the existing threads.
  14. By “factory unit”, you mean the Curt unit?
  15. Sorry to hear that about your wife. She would be considered one of the high risk individuals. Hope everyone stays safe & at least relatively healthy. There’s no doubt they are treating this very differently.
  16. Can you elaborate on what you mean by “realize the severity”? How is this different than other infectious diseases, other than possessing the most mildest of symptoms even below that of the flu? COVID19 is no worse for the high risk individuals than the flu or pneumonia and the recommended preventative measures are things we’ve all heard before & should actively be practicing on a daily basis. Also, when you say, “The longer it takes people to get with the program, the longer it will play havoc on our economy and daily lives.” this is exactly what the CDC & Gov are trying to do, prolong it. Have you seen the curve? It’s just “new” so people are scared.
  17. You’re also making an invalid comparison on mortality rates. All “known” cases of COVID19 are being well documented. You’re using that figure as an absolute. BUT, reports are that there could be thousands (10s-100s) of undocumented cases. The symptoms are so mild to the average healthy person that they may not even realize they have/had it & discount it as just a cold/flu. Likewise, most often, flu cases are simply not documented because people self diagnose and it doesn’t get reported. They just deal with it. That is why you see sloppy stats like “9-45 million” cases and “12,000-61,000” deaths from the CDC. At the end of the day, the COVID19 symptoms are mild and non life threatening to most heathy people and they just recover at home. Certainly, this is a serious problem for individuals with compromised immune systems & respiratory problems. No one is denying that. The common flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, etc are also very serious to the same group.
  18. I ran my wires to the top of the fuse box. There’s access to the top from behind the A pillar molding. Not even sure how’d you access it from the bottom when the fuse box is directly under the A pillar.

  20. If I recall, there’s an accessory setting for the trailer plug. I wonder if that might work better for your application.
  21. Glad to hear it worked out for you. I’ll have to play with mine a little more to see if I can get them to stop flicking.
  22. Yeah, I’ve read about that before in other threads & have seen it happen with my truck & trailer. I was told it had something to do with the trailer theft setting but I shut it off on mine & it still does it. You’ll likely have to wire it to the 12v constant. You could maybe wire in a switch so the light shuts off when the tailgate is closed.
  23. There’s pictures of 2020 AT4 HD in Carbon Metallic in a current post on this forum’s Facebook page.
  24. Could be related to this. https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/235504-throttle-body-2020-66-sierra-service-bulletin/
  25. Curious what your service manager had to say. Even after keeping the fob away from the charger, I stay get the occasional problem of the screens shutting off. I plan to wire the power to the RAP tap in the aux fuse box.
