what is the Grey cable for in your harness kit , what does it plug into on each end ?

Well today I tried plugging a monitor into the cable that goes to the flip down . I used a splitter to see what would happen . Sorry to say the monitor did not get a signal from the USB plug & of course the flip-down continued to work . I guess I figured it wouldn't be that easy , but it was worth a try ... I honestly can't believe No One has tried to add Headrest screens in place of the flip down ... Anyone have any suggestions ???

Sorry I don't own the unit . I saw it recently in someones truck @ a car function . I noticed they were watching YouTube So I asked what he was using to stream . He showed me the little black box plugged in & went through a few features YouTube , Netflix , Google Play store . I asked him were he purchased it & he gave me the link & he also said it was the same unit MVI uses & is selling for $600 . But he got it for half that at the Link . Sorry forgot to mention his truck is a 2018 with Bose all stock besides rims . Not sure why you mention your steering wheel buttons ??? This wont help you getting them to function ...

LoL No . Maybe I worded my comment wrong ? I was referring to the clear plastic wrapper on the box . Beside if I was going to reverse engineer it , I would need an actual unit to work with .

I understood that the black box in the video was the unit , I was hoping for some better pics ( Top , Bottom , Both sides , plugs )without the plastic . Also went to the link & could not find the unit there for purchase .

I had a similar issue with My custom 500gb Ipod classic . I thought it was cause I modified my ipod classic to 500gb . tried a bunch of stuff even restarting the truck , It ended up being the Ipod cable . Now the weird part is the cable worked fine in my BMW & Cadillac , also my home computer . Anyway I purchased an OEM Authentic Apple cable & it's working fine . The other cable was a knockoff I purchased from Amazon ... Hope this helps ...
