  1. Sounds like you have another issue. My fobs work from a good distance away, including through walls. Nothing compares to an aftermarket system for range though.
  2. Gorgeous truck. I'm getting my rims done the same way. Love the wheel arches too. I couldn't do it because I knew mine would get destroyed but I def love the way they look.
  3. They are still extremely popular and as long as you buy a high end one and not a cheap placebo, they do their job well. There are a few threads on this in the forums, and if you need help installing, send me a PM. I used the Mirror tap kit, as I've ran one for a long time and it's from a reputable company. Unless you really want to use the Smart cord (or similar) I see no reason to run a long cord and then mount a switch and tap the fuse box. I was interested in the gen5diy kit, and someone on here ended up using one, but I've heard of a lot of failures from some of their harnesses, so it scared me off a little.
  4. Had something similar happen on my 2011 Cts coupe within a couple hundred miles of driving it. Key fobs were real weak, to the point that I'd have to put them in the Fob slot. And when I'd press the door popper from the outside (no door handles on the coupes) it would pop the trunk. They replaced the computer for the keyless entry and I never had another problem for over 210k miles. Took less than a couple hours.
  5. Not that it helps, but wasn't your suburban hitch through the bumper?
  6. It sounds perfect on the 6.2, nice quiet rumble at idle, and aggressive when you get on it.
  7. The only option I've seen so far is the Stealth bumper, which also allows you to mount a led bar.
  8. It sounds good on their YouTube. If I go Flowmaster I think it'll be the American Thunder Series.. Although I'm currently leaning twords AFe
  9. I'm gonna put an airlift kit in my AT4 on mine just because of ride quality and my plans to lift/level but I def don't need it. It doesn't even squat a little when I put my 18ft flatbed on there and that's got to weigh close to the same as your atc. I've hauled a 4 place loaded with sleds and gear and it simply leveled the truck out. Sounds like something else is wrong to me..
  10. I said I wasn't gonna, but I'm thinking I'm gonna end up going that route. Don't think I'll be running dual 18s in this one haha but something better than stock.
  11. Pretty pricey.. Guess I've found my first truck I won't be putting a Borla on.
  12. Im definitely interested, but I don't think you're going to be able to SC anytime soon. That's something I plan on doing as well, but until they crack our ECMs, it's a no go.
  13. I'm not getting fast charging with the truck's USB C port. While C allows for 100w, I guarantee the chargers in our trucks are a fraction of that. It won't blow up or anything, but it won't charge any faster. No, our trucks don't have wireless Android auto. As far as I know that is only available in aftermarket stereos currently.
  14. Thank You. I was holding the outside unlock button down. Wish I knew about this sooner. Would have made tailgating a lot less stressful not having someone asking me to unlock my door every 5 seconds every Sunday.
  15. I can't get this to work... Any thing else need to be done?
  16. And another one is out. Sounds good for those of us looking for mild systems. Maybe I won't go with a Borla.... Looking they have a couple other side exit systems as well. Outlaw and Flowfx.
  17. New Era Performance released theirs. Expensive at $400+, but 16hp/21tq on the 5.3 seems fairly good. Im was gonna wait and see what else came out but the plan is to dyno before and after the intake for my 6.2
  18. Mone does that to get out while in gear but doesn't work for getting in.
  19. I'm looking for the same thing (dome Light control) I am definitely missing footwell lights (as well as puddle lights.) I don't believe it's something we're gonna find in the fuse box. It's more than likely gonna be a bcm plug. I think it was grey on the last gen trucks. Im not a fan of splicing into those wires so I'm thinking of making a pass through plug with a tap of the dome light wire. Same with my high beams to aux lights. I'll do some digging when I get a free weekend and let you know. Below is what I've found so far.
  20. @ian@borla are we getting any closer to having a release date for these trucks?
  21. It's in there. Settings>Vehicle>Remote Door Lock ect. I don't see an option to fully turn off Passive unlock, just select between driver and all doors. But there is an option to turn off passive lock... I wonder if they relate. Wish they didn't have a stupid button to push. My old car has touch sensitive pads on the back of the handle. So naturally as you opened it, it unlocked.
  22. I have that, but my father has a fully loaded Trailboss that doesn't. Wish you could roll them back up too as well as be able to do it through onstar.
  23. That's an awesome feature. Wish my Cadillacs had that (or maybe they did.). How is it disabled when you're done?
  24. The Kicker kit has me curious. I'm well out of my full tear down for a stereo days, so I might be willing to be a Guinea pig for this..
