  1. Thanks ya'll for finding out what was squeaking. I was chasing that noise for months. I found that brace bolt loose, tightened it up, and no more squeak. Thanks! 2017 Silverado LT
  2. I'm very happy with my Bilsteins. More stability, less bounce. 2017 Silverado LT
  3. Same symptoms here. Stock wheels and tires. It's as if a tire tread or belt has separated, but all tires are band new, and are road force balanced. I also have slight vibrations at 25, 43, 63 & mph. 10 new Michelin tires did not fix issues. A new torque converter (paid for by the warranty, 39,000 miles) minimized the higher speed vibrations. Still have the wobble at 1-13mph. Maybe it's the drive shaft out of round. Drive shaft diagnosis is the my next step in my journey. 2017 Silverado LT, 6 speed transmission. 2WD, Crewcab, Short bed. Trouble did not start until @38,000 miles.
  4. Drove it some at morning rush hour speeds (1-14mph). Shimmy/Wobble still exists. Vibrations at 25mph, 43mph, and 60+ are gone. I Guess the next stop is the drive shaft. I asked my service writer if they put in a better torque converter, or one just like the original, and he said it is same as the original. I asked if I'd have to replace it in 38,000 miles like the first one, and he said probably. I asked if changing ATF at 10,000-15,000 miles is recommended, and he said no. ===================================================================== 6/15/2020: 2017 Silverado LT. 6 speed trans. 39,000 miles. "Chevy shake" since @38,000 miles. Felt like suspension trouble to me, but 10 new Michelin tires didn't fix it.
  5. New torque converter was installed. No results to report yet. Stop and go traffic driving scheduled for June 24, this is when the shimmy is most noticeable, 1-12 mph. *Dealer disconnects the battery overnight during repair, so keep that in mind! I cannot recommend getting a state inspection on the way home from the dealer. Code reader noted five monitors that displayed "not ready". Failed inspection. Inspector instructions were to drive it a few days and bring it back for re-inspection. More information later.
  6. 2017 Silverado LT. 6 speed trans. 39,000 miles. "Chevy shake" since @38,000 miles. Felt like suspension trouble to me, but 10 new Michelin tires didn't fix it. Dealer says it needs a new torque converter. New one going in it in the morning. More information later.
  7. Installed mine about a year ago. Use it occasionally. Works fine for me. John
  8. I want to re-install the stock AM/FM antenna mast. Of course, now I can't find the threaded adapter, it goes between the base and the mast. Anyone got an extra they don't need? Thanks , John 2017 Silverado LT
  9. John here. 2017 Silverado LT KF5ZMD
  10. Quoted to add: Folded a towel 4-6 layers. Placed it on the floor in the opening between rear passenger door and rocker panel as close to the hinge as possible. (Closed the door on it) Been working for the past month. I'm much happier now. The towel gets wet when it rains, or truck gets washed. I can live with that a while. Best, John, KF5ZMD
  11. Hope springs eternal. Folded a towel over to @4 layers thickness. Closed the rear passenger door on it, it's next to the b-pillar, below the rear door hinges. A small amount hangs out from under the door. Noisy hinges I learned about here, post #84: https://www.coloradofans.com/forums/177-2nd-gen-interior/266250-rattle-near-seat-belt-cover-5.html Been out on several trips, and it's working so far, so good. Wish me luck. Best, John
  12. Tried all that. While the rubber boot was slightly loose, this suggestion did not fix my rattle. Back to the drawing board.
  13. 84 ° this afternoon. It seems to do better when it's cold. Best, John, KF5ZMD
