  1. I think it’s weird that this company would remove them out of the original packaging and ship it that way. When I ordered them, they came in the original packaging.
  2. @Lftwfls I cleaned my throttle body and MAF sensor this weekend. It took care of the issue.
  3. Today was maintenance day. Changed the oil, engine air filter, cabin air filter, cleaned the mass air flow sensor and throttle body.
  4. I'm not sure which brand you went with, but I went with the Sylvania standard LED bulbs. I put them in 2 years ago and I haven't had any issues with them. I use them for my license plate, reverse, and cargo box lamps.
  5. I wonder if the transponder will still be picked up like that. I keep mine in my center console and when the time comes, I hold it against the windshield until I've passed through and then put it back.
  6. It's a good question and one we may never know the answer to.
  7. Thanks for the info guys. I have done the pill flip and on back roads my transmission fluid temperature reaches 126F whether its cold or hot out. I just wanted to make sure that 126F wasn't too cold. I also changed my fluid and filter at 30,000 miles. I'm currently just shy of 36,000. I plan on changing my transmission fluid and filter every 30,000 miles.
  8. Does the vibration in your steering wheel occur all the time or only when you apply your brakes?
  9. How cool is too cool for winter driving?
  10. I clean my throttle body every 12,000 miles when I change my air filter. I have less than 1,000 miles to go before it has to get cleaned again. I’ll clean it and report back if it took care of the issue.
  11. I’m not sure, but it could be.
  12. While I don’t have an issue with the cushions; one thing I wish the car companies would do is go back to the soft cloth they used to use. It seems that all of the manufacturers are going with a hard cloth instead of a nice soft cloth. I wonder why?
  13. Check Harbor Freight. They have a few to choose from.
  14. My truck does this too and I’m only at 35k miles. My guess is that it does it because of how these trucks are tuned, but I could be wrong.
  15. Thanks for the info. I know coolant can last as long as you said and I know once Dexcool coolant starts to gum it, it needs replaced.
  16. Removing the lettering is the next thing I’m going to do.
  17. I want to do everything I can maintenance wise to keep this running as long as possible. Since I do my own work, it doesn’t cost a lot to buy everything. I’ll also say this. By 30k, my transmission fluid was cooked because it ran too hot. My rear dif fluid was as black as could be. I wanted to get that old fluid out and get fresh fluid in there.
  18. I changed my driveline fluids at 30k. I plan on changing it all every 30k for as long as I have it.
  19. In the grand scheme of things, I wouldn't consider a nonworking vent or bad usb port as major problems. Frustrating and annoying, yes, but nothing major to the point that it would make me consider getting rid of a vehicle. Especially one that still has its warranties.
  20. Well, if you do your own maintenance and plan on keeping the truck for a long time, it wouldn't hurt to buy the tool and have it for when you do need to replace the belt. Also, the service manager might be able to put a different brand of belt on since you know them personally. I'd ask and see what they say. I understand the frustration part in regards to waiting for it to get repaired as I've been in your shoes before with another vehicle. Was some of that due to an employee shortage or because they couldn't get the parts in? If so, I wouldn't put that on the truck.
  21. Other than the lifters failing, these sound like minor issues that aren't a big deal. If you're worried about your belt wearing too fast, you can replace it with another brand to see if that takes care of the issue. Belts aren't expensive. When it comes to the usb port, take it in and have them fix it.
  22. I love Collinite 845. That is great stuff.
  23. One thing I think that every modern truck should have is a spray-on bedliner. I would absolutely recommend a Line-X liner if you don't have one already. I had that done and I love it. It has handled everything I have thrown at it. Appliances, power washers, lawn mowers and mulch. You name it and it can take the beating without showing any signs of wear or age.
