    Luckily I have the 6L80. The only things I want to do is turn off AFM, increase the idle just enough so if feels it doesn’t idle rough, and get the transmission to shift smoothly. That’s really about it.

    Don’t we have to pay to unlock our trucks so we can mess with them? Isn’t that something that started in 2017?

    That’s what I figured. I’d like to eventually have my truck tuned once the power train warranty expires in a couple of years.

    Yeah that’s really weird. I just check my radio and it has the option to update over the air. It simply says system update. My radio is update and the patch number is 84546918 just to give you a heads up.

    Trucks with the Z71 package have always had stiffer suspension setups from the factory. Usually it gives the truck a harsher ride compared to trucks without it IMO.

    Have you tried connecting the radio to a WiFi source? Connect it to your homes router and try to update it over the air that way.

    Question for the guys who had their units replaced. Do all of you have the dual climate control unit or has anyone had this issue with the base, single zone climate unit? I have the base unit and all of the lights work, but I'm just curious because this will be something else to keep my eye on if this also affects the unit I have.

    When does your rattle pop up? Is it when you first start your truck or after its warmed up?

    My truck is also off a couple mpg compared to a manual calculation.

    Lots of squarebodies and 88-98 GM trucks where I live. A few older Rams, but that’s about it. You rarely see any older Fords on the road on Delmarva.

    You might be able to get the emblems from a GM wholesaler. I use cultrag for all of my OE parts and accessories.

    I don't think it is possible in our trucks. If my iPhone is connected to bluetooth or plugged in using CarPlay and if my girlfriend plugs in her Note 10, a message will pop up asking if we want to switch to her phone so she can use it. Then, the radio connects to her phone via bluetooth and she can use Android Auto. The only thing I can do with my phone at that point is plug it in and charge it unless we switch it back to my phone.

    I don't have the necessary plug in on my MacBook to play your video, but what brand of oil are you using? (I'm not turning this into an oil debate because this forum sees enough of that already) We used Valvoline in my girlfriend's Sentra and it had valve tap. We switched to Mobil 1 and the tapping went away.

    James is on the money. It's a tuning issue. These trucks were made to be as fuel efficient as possible. The idle has to be bumped up a little bit to take care of the rough idle. I plan on doing this when my powertrain warranty expires.

    My truck also makes the clicking noise. I spoke to a mechanic and he told me that the clicking noise is from a solenoid that just makes that noise and not to worry about it. I haven't had any issues with it.

    I finally got my spray in bedliner by Line-X last week. I went ahead and got the premium spray and I'm very happy with the finish. I also installed my air raid tube and I can say that it does make a little bit of a difference, especially at low speeds.

    I change my engine and cabin air filters at the same time. I do it every 12,000 miles.

    I'm several days late, but this past Saturday, I finally had a stainless steel exhaust system welded on. I'm running a Flowmaster Super 44 series muffler, 3 and 1/2 inch tips with a nice sized downpipe. The shop did a great job and it only took them an hour. I'm very happy with the sound. Its not too loud when casually driving, but it sounds great and is loud when you get on it.

    Has anyone installed a Flowmaster American Thunder catback exhaust system? I'm curious to know if you like it and if it sounds good. I'm considering getting this system.

    Are there any other dealers in your area who you could take the truck to or is there only the one you can go to?
