  1. Yep it's a great sounding system. I wont be changing anything on mine! ?
  2. IDK gents, these trucks don't seem to have much roll to em. My 2015 had even less. When I first got that truck, I was out at lunch with a co-worker who commented on how stable it was, to the point when we parked he got out to "Measure" the sway bar. Shock: None there! This guy is very versed in mechanical eng and knows his stuff. He was astonished there was no bar there.
  3. Yeah my 2015 had the extra hole, and even instructions in the book. Having a extra battery is a "gotta have" for lots of folks. That was pretty stoopid. Especially the way these over board sensors nanny noses eat batteries! ?
  4. Reading through the owners manual about a month go I found out about "modes". "Sport", L8 is quite the nice performance setting. Use it all the time unless on the interstate. I purchased a 'Range" device and didn't bother to install it.
  5. This is what happens when you buy crap from China!? ?
  6. If you can get the family pricing on top of GM incentives I would go ahead and order one. If you're going ti wait for one to be built anyway, you might as well wait fir the one you want. I bought the Shadow Grey, I like it as it doesn't show off the dirt.
  7. I'm averaging 18 in mixed driving..although I do have a somewhat heavy foot. One highway trip I've taken so far it avg'd 21 ...I've had the truck two months, 2000 miles.
  8. Not with today's Inventory levels
  9. So what is "fake" about the stock tips? All tips are aesthetic IMO.
  10. Greetings, I purchased my 2020 RST/Z71 5 weeks ago. 6.2/10. Add ons include tri-fold bed cover, Bedrug, AVS Bug screen and Luverne Running boards. Won't be making any other mods. So far the truck is outstanding, 1300 miles. My last truck was a 2015 LT2 Z71. Five years, 63k and no issues at all. Hoping I'm as lucky with this one! Great group here! Happy to be among ya'll. Pappy!
  11. Greetings ya'll, I've had my 2020 RST/Z71 6.2/10 for just over a month. I have 1200 miles on it and to date it's been a rock. I'm coming from a 2015 5.3 with AFM. So far the DFM is pretty smooth and I really can't tell if and when it kicks in. I typically drive the truck in "Sport" mode to get the better response. MPG is not a big concern to me. I purchased a "Range" device that is label "AFM Disabler" but per their website also disables DFM. Does anyone have one of these installed and have any feedback on it. I'm kind of hesitant to install it seeing as I can't quantify a "problem" to fix, and I always can put the shifter in "L" mode which will disable the DFM. So I'm really wondering if there is anything to gain form this, or if I should just let this engine do it's thing? Thanks in advance for any objective knowledge you can provide. Pappy
  12. Yes it is annoying but now that I'm used to it I've mentally adjusted....and it's not just on entry/exit. If you're running Car-Play and listening to music coming from the phone, an incoming call or text will interrupt the music and kill the volume. Also took forever to figure out that each function (music, maps, etc) has it's own master volume. Why? I guarantee this is a "feature" some idiot in product development thought was a good idea, operations won't address it until they get a documented design change. ?
  13. In my opinion the AC-Delco AGM batteries suck! Went through two on my 2015 Silverado and after the second I bit the bullet and bought an Optima. I've had the issue on several GM vehicles, so now I put the charger on once a month or so, and once the original batt dies, I go Optima. I have two 10 year old Redtops and they still rock and roll!
  14. Just upgraded from my 2015 5.3/6 to a 2020 6.2/10. The 2015 had AFM and it was quite noticeable when in v4 mode and going from v4-v8, especilly when driving round at slow speeds, around town etc. I solved it by putting the shifter in M5 unless I was out on the highway doing 70+mph. So far on the 2020 I really cannot tell when DFM does it's thing. Any change is negligible. But this can also be solved by putting the shifter Ln and selecting a top gear range. In town where the top speed limit is 35mph, L7 is more than adequate. This also disables the start/stop crap.
  15. I just checked and mine has the FUYAO 43R000072 E4 glass. Fingers crossed and knocking on wood. ?
  16. Just checked mine this morning...yep same deal....and the contacts do not load either....The system has some bugs no doubt.
  17. I don't have an option for rear defrost on remote start. Only the heated seats.
  18. Wow, 143 pages of leaky windows ? .... I had the pass-through on my 2015 and have it again on my 2020. I rarely open it unless the grandson is in the back seat. So far with the new one I've driven 30 miles in an extreme down pour and hit it with a high pressure hose and covered the entire window frame and the seem where the spoiler meets the roof. No leaks whatsoever. My build date = 02/20. Hoping I got the updated part and wont ever have a problem. I do have two questions for the group: 1. Does opening and closing the window cause wear that eventually will cause the leakage? 2. Are there instances where there were no leaks when the truck was brand new, but start leaking months down the road? I certainly will be keeping a keen eye on this for sure!
  19. I would surely try and fix that myself...BFH!
  20. All I can say after reading through some of this thread that some of ya'll are lonely and need a woman!
  21. I got too many other things in line, two muscle cars, many many guitars, a blues band, and a house and yard to take care,,and I'm old. I need my truck to be dependable, always there and stable on the cash flow. So very few mods for me. Bug shield, bedliner, tonneau cover and running boards and I'm good. ...oh yeah and a $20 console tray. ?
  22. I just joined this forum with my 2020 RST/Z71. I got a couple of old Chevy's, a 73 Stingray restored with VBP suspension, 383/435hp and Tremec 5spd. Also a 71 Chevelle currently in mid restoration. Fresh 454, TH-400, 3:73 rear,,hope to be driving it by august.
  23. I havn't read this entire thread but did stumble on this conversation. If you put the shift lever in L and select a top gear the autostop is disabled. I believe the DFM maybe too, I'm still trying to determine this. I have a gut feeling that either/and/or sport and offroad modes disable them also. In my '15 Z71, I would put the shifter L5 unless I was doing 70 on the highway. That way the AFM wasn't always kicking on and off driving around town. With the '20 Im using L7 for in town L9 for local highways and wont hit drive until on an interstate. I grew up with sticks and I still like to shift, even if it is with a button. Wife has a Buick Lacrosse with 9spd and paddles. I love taking that thing out and playing F1 with some Beamers! ?
