  1. A 2022 isn’t really different than a 19-21. Under the new grill and the new dash it’s the same truck as far as towing is concerned. The towing app in the infotainment system is different but I don’t think that’s what you’re asking about. Exactly what feedback are you looking for?
  2. Sorry, I wish I had a photo to share. My only regret on the truck I ordered last year is that I didn’t get the standard bed. Silly. I get by OK without it but I often find myself wishing I had the extra space.
  3. Some trucks are being built without wireless charging, likely due to just another chip shortage or supply chain issue that have become the norm over the last couple years. If your window sticker doesn’t say “includes later retrofit” (which I don’t believe wireless charging does) then you’re not gonna get it from Chevrolet on that truck. You’d have to look at the window sticker for a particular truck to know whether on not it has it.
  4. 1. There are deals out there to be had. If your local dealers are stuck on MSRP, you may have to be willing to travel. You may not get as good a deal if ordering versus picking something up they have sitting on the lot. Inventories are way up from what they were so there are a lot more available, I’d look around before ordering. Ordering process could be that long, or shorter, or longer depending on what you order. Make sure your dealer communicates with you whether they have an allocation for what you want and what’s on constraint. Waiting for an allocation or waiting for something to come off constraint are what hold orders up for a long time. 2. they don’t all leak. I’ve had two slider trucks that have not leaked. I wouldn’t be concerned about getting a truck with a slider or worry about “fixing” it before you see if there’s actually an issue. 3. There is some glitchy-ness with the new cluster/infotainment system. It’s not perfect. I don’t think it’s really “electrical” glitches, more so software related. 4. Shop around, use the inventory viewer on Chevrolet.com. There are 5 2022 and 2 2023 LTZ 6.2 listed as in stock or in transit within 100 miles from me and I’m kind of in the middle of nowhere.
  5. I hope you get your situation remedied. Ive read that the alenzas get pretty bad in the rain after they wear some.
  6. I have Bed view but I don’t have the rear view camera mirror. It does block the bed view so I would suspect it would block the rear cam mirror as well as they are both housed in the third brake like.
  7. I’ve seen a 2023 high country without the tray so it’s not trim dependent as you suspect.
  8. The two prop rods are pretty solid. Yes, you can drive normal freeway speeds with it propped up. I have done it, the only negative is there’s a very noticeable amount of additional wind noise at highway speeds. I knew I wanted a lo pro hard tri fold, I think they look the best, they don’t take up bed space like a hard roll up, and they are really easy to totally remove when needed. I had it narrowed down to the Ultraflex and the bakflip MX4. I chose the Undercover over the bakflip because the under cover props straight up when fully open and does not rest against the cab like the MX4. Also, the forward most portion of the cover ( the section that does not fold) is narrower on the undercover so you have more of the bed open when the cover is fully open. I think the MX4 is a better looking cover though. The fit and finish doesn’t look as cheap. The rubber trim pieces/seals that run on top of the bed rails were really disappointing looking on the undercover and the factory cut the ends like crap, one side was way short. I had to request a new one so at least the CS is good.
  9. I’ve got an Undercover Ultra Flex. If by the rare chance the tailgate switch fails, you’d be able to open this cover by fishing something like a coat hanger in and grabbing the cord that opens the cover. Hard trifold covers like this really are not at all secure. Don’t buy one thinking they provide you with any security beyond your stuff not being visible. Sure you can’t just slice it open like a soft cover but with very little (and I mean VERY little) effort they can be pried open. Regardless, the chances that you’ll find yourself in your hypothetical “stuck-closed tailgate scenario” due to a switch failure are so unbelievably low it’s not even worth worrying about. Just because it’s electronic and you’re not used to that doesn’t mean it’s unreliable or that it will fail. Just to give you another option to look at, Diamondback covers actually provide some security and can be opened without the tailgate being open. https://diamondbackcovers.com/products/diamondbackhd?variant=28732457161
  10. Highly likely it is identical other than the top
  11. The center consoles are absolutely not the same.
  12. I see they started doing this on the 23s. I’m glad I have the tray, I actually use it.
  13. Nothing makes dexos so special. Ultra Platinum or whatever you called it probably was just never submitted for Dexos licensing. It likely meets dexos requirements just fine as most oils do.
  14. I know you already bought a cover. But just to set the record straight. The Undercover Flex, ultraflex, and armorflex don’t sit against the cab/window when open. There are two prop rods that hold It vertical.
  15. I’m sure it’s great oil, I never said that it wasn’t. It’s not the miracle oil people claim it to be or worth the cult following all the suckers give it. All while said suckers pay a premium. If your mark of a good oil is whether or not it meets those standards you’re setting your bar pretty low.
  16. Amsoil is snake oil. It’s not magic oil. Plenty of suckers out there buying the marketing. If he does oil analysis and that tells him 25k miles is ok, he could do the same on another brand.
  17. You go up to 25k miles on an oil change? Lol WTF. That amsoil koolaide has you trippin
  18. I have an Undercover Ultraflex. Nice cover and all, but i have a lot of water intrusion. I haven’t cared all that much, there are a number of things that could be done to reduce that but it’s a shame to have to come up with solutions on your own for a $1000+ cover. I know none of them are really water tight but there are some WTF points on this cover that I feel they could have designed a little better. If I was purchasing again I think I’d try a backflip MX4. They look a little nicer. The advantage the Ultraflex has over the MX4 is that the final hinge point is closer to the cab, so the cover doesn’t stick into the bed as far. I can actually load my full size dirt bike without removing the cover (corner to corner), I don’t think I would be able to do that with the mx4. Also that the Ultraflex doesn’t rest against the cab when fully open like the MX4.
  19. I’m not really sure why you believe GM won’t retrofit the items they said they would retrofit. It’s not going to happen quickly, as you stated, literally hundreds of thousands of trucks. Add to that every other vehicle in the GM line up needing something retrofit as well. They stated features would be retrofit. They stated it on the window sticker, in press releases, to buyers on forms during the buying process, etc. I don’t see a path for them to get out of that. In fact, retrofits are well underway for a lot of people, it will just take time. In most cases it is as simple as plugging in a module and doing a software update. We’re not talking about drastic part replacements here.
  20. I thought the trucks missing the features to be retrofitted later all still had the buttons, they just didn’t work. Does your window sticker specifically say “not equipped with xxxxxx, will be retrofitted”? Under the options section
  21. I see people reference this all the time and that it’s on the manufacturer/dealer to prove the parts caused the issue, but I’d like to know how it plays out in the real world. Dealers and manufacturers can decide whatever they want, right or wrong, in violation of that act or not. If a manufacturer says warranty voided, what will you do? Take them to court? How do you see that playing out? Even if you win, what does it end up costing you? Fact is, that “Act” really does nothing at all.
  22. What a stupid statement.
  23. Never. Not at all common on the 3.0 and certainly not repeatedly after whatever the issue is gets fixed. It’s not something that just happens on a fluke because the emissions system feels like causing an issue that day. What’s the issue causing the “limp mode”? What codes is he getting? What does the dealer say or what have they replaced so far?
  24. Especially the egos
  25. Did you rotate your tires?
