  1. Tough spot to be in, I feel for you. Sure, the level of contamination obviously matters but it’s certainly possible. I think that would be highly unlikely. Given the fact that they warrantied the transmission, the dealer didn’t think it was the cause either. If they thought your transmission had issues because you allegedly put gas in your diesel it wouldn’t be a warranty repair. What proof were you given that the fuel was contaminated with gas?
  2. AT4 and Denali are the same, just different colors/trim pieces between the two. The high country is the same as all other refreshed interior (all Chevy and lower trim GMC). Functionality is all the same no matter which style, the layouts are just a little different. The configurable instrument cluster is a thing on all refresh interiors, no matter what trim. I think the at4/Denali is a little cooler looking, I’m just not a fan of where they put the trailer brake controller on them (behind the console shifter)
  3. Lol JFC. How’s the weather up there? So high up on your horse. Acting like you know what’s good for everyone else is just as much a problem with todays society as the things you describe. Im well aware of personal responsibility, yet I know how to make the safety features ease my long highway drives. Again, no one ever said the word “reliance” except for you. And again, your perception is distorted but go ahead, continue to think you’re so much better than everyone around you.
  4. You have a distorted perception on how others use their trucks are able to take advantage of features you may not have a use for.
  5. There might not have been a truck at your dealer, but there were trucks all over the country sitting on lots and coming in unsold. You could have got one if you worked hard enough to find one and were willing to go get it. I get that maybe that’s not what you wanted to do, but to say trucks weren’t available on the lot is false. How much for the console safe?
  6. Man, all those posts and all that headache over waiting on a truck and you bought one sitting on the lot, lol. You could have done that 6 months ago. Congrats anyway. I’m sure it’s a real nice truck
  7. It’s not 1975 anymore. Things cost more money. Don’t like/can’t afford the price? Sorry, don’t buy it.
  8. I’m not entirely sure. I know my 2022 refresh high country will tell me when the mid gate is down and I put it in drive, not sure about the whole tailgate. As a side note, not sure what cover you have, but with my hard tri fold cover I can see if the tailgate is up or down by looking for that raised lip on the top of the tailgate in my rear view mirror.
  9. I dont the parking sensors to be very To each his own. I find most of the safety features to be very useful and no one suggested they are reliant solely on the features. Front park assist helps when pulling in to park against an object and the blind spot indicator combined with looking over my shoulder works better than any convex mirror I could buy.
  10. You can absolutely turn it off. It’s in the settings. Look at your manual. It’s not difficult at all to find
  11. People say this, about auto start/stop wearing starters out faster. It’s been a thing for like 7 years now in GM vehicles. Is there any proof that it’s actually true?
  12. Steering column lock won’t be retrofitted. There is no information about when retrofits for the other items will happen, probably next year sometime. BTW, you call them options, they aren’t.
  13. For those wondering… DEZ power folding mirrors are standard on Silverado 1500 trims LTZ, High Country, and ZR2 for 2022(refresh) and 2023, not available on any other trim. For Sierra 1500, standard on SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate in 2022(refresh) and 2023, not available on any other trim.
  14. Argument could be made that the liners actually trap gunk, grit, and salt places making it worse than no liners at all. I don’t think the purpose of the OEM liners is to inhibit corrosion. I think they are just there to quite the ride.
  15. That sucks. I’d be pissed too. Not like you can threaten to cancel it in your position either. I’d just have some faith they will get it sorted out and try to force them to have your end date three years from when it actually starts working.
  16. I feel like I’m somehow getting scammed by an Indian guy after reading that.
  17. Maybe, but they likely just didn’t anticipate the component shortages they are seeing. Seems like this year it will be slim availability as well. They advertised it pretty hard on the trucks because of the ability to tow while using super cruise. I’m sure they’re not happy about not being able to sell it.
  18. It was available early on in 2022 production but didn’t last long before it went “unavailable to order”. There were definitely trucks that got built with it but it hasn’t been going in trucks for many months now.
  19. Lots of variables can affect hand calculation vs DIC mpg. The biggest of those variables is How far the tank gets filled because it’s not always exactly the same. 1300 miles isn’t much of a sample size and I wouldn’t claim the dash is “incorrect” based on that. I track every single fill up, resetting the trip at each fill and also hand calculating. In my 2021 hand calculation was anywhere from 0 to 1.25 mpg higher than the DIC, averaging out at .65 mpg difference. This was over 32000 miles and 84 fill ups. in my 2022 refresh, so far in 19 full ups over 7500 miles, the overall average of all hand calculations is .34 mpg lower than the overall average of all DIC trip mpgs. I wouldn’t say that in either of my trucks the dash was “incorrect”. Something seems to have changed though (should be obvious since the truck has entirely different electrical architecture) since my hand calcs were consistently above the DIC and now they are below. Even still I consider the new truck more accurate because the averages have less of a delta.
  20. Deposit depends on the dealer. I would recommend ordering from a dealer that does not require one, unless it’s small and they will refund it should you decide you don’t want the truck for any reason. Also, agree to a trade value before ordering and make sure they will guarantee it when your new truck arrives. For timeframe, if the dealer has an allocation for what you want, the wait isn’t that long. My order was accepted mid may and I received it late June. There are a lot of factors that could affect this obviously and some trucks are being built just to sit in a lot waiting for some component. It’s impossible to tell whether or not that will affect you. I think the biggest issue I would have right now are the rising interest rates. The longer you wait, the worse it will be. Your Credit Union isn’t going to give you a vehicle loan until you purchase the vehicle, in other words, when it arrives. This means the longer it takes for it to show up the higher your rate is going to be. I agree with people when they say things are slowing. Interest rate increases are going to keep some people from buying. I don’t agree with the idea that the ****** is about to hit the fan and dealers will be practically begging people to buy cars.
  21. So, according to the radio, it does have the latest “W164.4.2” software. Dealer wants to replace the radio.
  22. standard wheels on HC are 20s with your run of the mill all season tires. 22s have always been an option. Maybe true that most end up with the 22s but it is an option and someone (dealer or customer) has to opt for that when ordering.
  23. I’m not really sure what all skid plates you get, I think it may just be the one under the transfer case. If so, you’re not missing anything at all, it’s kind of a joke and not worth the hassle. If you really need skid plates look into aftermarket products that will actually provide you with some protection.
  24. I see, I read your post wrong the first time. You’ll just have to get creative and cover the hole with something. I don’t miss the column shifter one bit, I’m so glad they got rid of it. Don’t believe anyone has done this swap yet. At least, they haven’t posted about it anywhere that I’ve seen. Post your experience afterwards. I’m sure others will be looking.
