  1. Trannies are supposed to be a part of the drivetrain, not in the cab! Column shifter for men in trucks, console shifters for women in cars.
  2. It seems like they even prefer mobil 1 there, too!
  3. Yep, which is why i asked him why "we" dislike mobil 1. Seems more like "he" dislikes mobil 1.
  4. And what makes it the worst? The oil gets refined at the same plants, its the additives that make the difference and what their bases are. I have seen project farms test several times on the oils. I have seen numerous engines fail by running oil that does not have the proper additives that their engine calls for, or by running pennzoil and the crankcase has ran dry from drinking it up. I do not know if pennzoil is still paraffin based or not, but it was the absolute worst oil on the market when it was, and i refuse to ever touch pennzoil or put it in any of my vehicles.
  5. Call corporate and give them an earful with the dealer and the dealers workers names and the situation of what is going on. You are covered by the lemon law, look into that. If you have to, lie to corporate a bit. If they ask something like, "well your engines running right now, correct?" And you say yes, they will just say "ok have a good day, good bye". Dont be a victim of being scammed, know your rights, and know where you legally stand. Each states lemon laws are different. Good luck, and research before calling! The phone number is on chevy or gmc's website under contact us.
  6. Was an issue during covid with getting parts from suppliers. Its the same mechanical design with the same lifter/pushrod design being used since 2007 or so, and you dont hear those ones failing that often if ever. Lots of parts were produced then just sitting being exposed to all sorts of things in the environment during covid then when they got supplied and used, failures happened. It sucks, but its also common sense to NOT buy when people are not working and parts have been sitting for long times.
  7. My 22 has no window leaks. Truck sat out in a thundering pouring rain storm, no wet carpet or door panels or any water running on the inside glass anywhere. No water inside either after i washed my truck.
  8. Do you actually check your oil on your dipstick? Ran pennzoil once, drank almost all of it, dipstick was almost dry, no leaks. Switched to mobil 1, had zero issues ever again. Have heard only bad things about pennzoil, never anything good except for on the forums. Its funny how that works, real life works differently than the internet, hmmmm.
  9. Go use pennzoil and tell me your experience then. My personal experience can only go so far if you choose to ignore what i say. Good luck!
  10. Brake flush and alignment i can see, yes. Engine flush? No. How many miles did you go on that oil before changing it? I change mine every 3k miles, no issues with 160k miles on my 6.2.
  11. Pennzoil is crap oil, dont care that they try and say "oh but its a new formula". Its still crap. The additives they use are bottom of the barrel tier, and the oil thats used for the base is bottom tier as well. My personal go to is mobil 1 extended performance or Castrol edge titanium. Every vehicle i have used pennzoil in ended up drinking that oil, and caused long term issues as well. I never understood how a perfectly good engine could drink all 6-8 quarts of oil when i would run pennzoil within the first 1000 miles, but never would have that issue if i ran any other oil.
  12. I agree, ranchos are bouncy. But they are a much softer and more comfortable ride once you get over the bounciness, plus i love how ranchos allow more flex than bilsteins do. Bilsteins are overrated and overhyped.
  13. Thats unfortunate. Do you know what caused the tranny to fail?
  14. Hmm i guess its time to remove the front sway bar, as long as it doesnt affect my warranty.
  15. I didnt even think to look underneath for sway bars. So no sway bars at all in my truck? Thats very good to know, thats very good for off roading. I always take sway bars off on my off road toys.
  16. KN filters allow more flow and less filtration.
  17. I think you have it backwards. Off road suspension is always set up softer for more flex, rancho's ride a lot softer than bilsteins do. Bilsteins are so stiff that whenever i ride in a truck with them i feel every damn bump and it sends sharp pains in my lower back.
  18. Yes. The computer tells you about air filter life for the engine, but not your cabin air filter. Cabin air filters get disgusting relatively quick.
  19. I noticed the same when test driving one at the dealer. I also noticed the digital gauges are slow as heck to upgrade, goes like 28 mph to 39 mph by the time it updates on the digital gauge. I much prefer the analog gauges and the 2021 style head unit. The all digital stuff only works if you use high refresh rate displays and fast processors, which GM isnt doing.
  20. Do you have any part numbers or references/links to tubing to replace the section(s) that holds the flappers once they are cut out? Thanks.
  21. You should do a video on how it sounds! Im curious
  22. I knew stock exhausts always choked down engines, and it's nice to see how the engine wakes up by letting it breathe. What muffler did you go with?
