  1. Go into settings and do a recalibration of your touch screen and size
  2. Buy a Boost. It will disable the start stop and disable the DFM. Plugs into OBD port. Virtually no battery drain.
  3. What year vehicle and how old is the battery (is it original)? Sometimes the battery does not have enough to switch off all the relays (all the clicking and buzzing you hear after turning off the vehicle and exiting it) Check the alternator to ensure it is charging the battery when the vehicle is running. If you have the oem supplied gauge it should show from 12 to 14 when the engine is running. Have a battery shop or automotive shop perform a load test on the battery.. they can check the alternator as well.
  4. Have you checked the fuel pump and pressure? How low do you let the fuel tank get before you refuel? What is the engine temp?
  5. Did you buy the truck new or used? If used how certain are you the truck was not subject to flooding with the previous owner…. What part of the country are you in? Is the a/c condensate hose draining when you are running the a/c.. make sure it is not plugged. Household ammonia is a great deodorizer. Leave a small bowl or container sitting on the floor board overnight (be careful not to spill any). cabin air filters only clean the air when the vehicle a/c or heating system is running.
  6. Just plug your phone into CarPlay via the usb port
  7. I thought 2 wd 4wd low, 4 wd hi and auto we’re all mutually exclusive of each other and when auto was selected it would go to 4wd hi when needed. i stay in 2WD drive unless I know iwill need 4wd… then either either 4 wd lo or 4 wd hi is what I choose. I never use auto because I do not trust it as the driver you need to be aware of where you are driving.
  8. Have you examined all of the wiring harnesses for damage by rodents such as mice or chipmunks chewing on the eco friendly and apparently tasting soy based insulation of the wiring? Or other wear or broken connections.
  9. Most likely faulty/flaky brake wear sensors, but not faulty enough to generate a MIL. whomever did your brakes should be able to replace both sensors on the front
  10. Are you sure it is not your phone doing it. Notifications or apps running on the phone will cause my radio to pause for app and then come back… some apps like GasBuddy will interrupt the radio with dead silence even when in Sirius channel. So when that app is not running I never experience the “dead air” instance. Probably has to do with the settings for the app. I have never spent the time to figure it out…
  11. I would… I had close to 80k when I got the message. Did all 4 wheels, new pads, new sensors and rotors turned. A good and reputable mechanic should be able to replace the pads on all 4 wheels, install new brake wear sensors and turn all 4 rotors for approx $350. it is regular maintenance… do it before you get even close to metal on metal contact with the rotors, because then the price goes up. check the wear of the pads on the inside as well as the outside of the rotors. Both sides do not wear evenly.
  12. 80,000 at time of brake job, now have 85,000 on the truck.
  13. 80,000 miles at time of brake job. It is 85,000 now.
  14. Go to an independent mechanic. In September 2024, I just had my 2019 LT brakes replaced ( new pads, new sensors, rotors turned) on all 4 wheels for less than $350 total. it would have been a tad less but he also had to replace lug nets which had rusted between the lug nut itself and the “chrome steel” outer covering of the nut. They rust and swell so bad, it can be difficult to get the proper size lug socket on it to remove the lug nut so you pretty much have to destroy the chrome covering to get the wheel lug nut off. High quality ceramic pads from NAPA and all new brake wear sensors were installed. My truck had 80k on it
  15. Where are you at? On my 2019 with close to 80k mile I had all 4 wheels done (new pads, new brake wear sensors and the rotors turned. Ceramic pads were put on. The total bill was $350. This was in Sept of 2024
  16. Yes, that is symptomatic of a defective hood latch… it took me 3 months to resolve with multiple visits to the Chevrolet dealer. Finally resolved when I was able to walk back into the service area and talk with the most experienced service tech who was working on it. He was finally able to recreate it by repeatedly opening and closing the hood latch in my case, not only did remote start not work, was getting false MIL on dash to service ESC, FWD and others. None showed the hood latch was open Turned out the micro switch in the hood latch was flaky, but not fully broken. It apparently was not showing the 2k resistance which told the anti theft someone was trying to open the hood when the doors were locked. If all the codes were reset, it might work for a bit and then crap out again. Have not had a problem since the hood latch was replaced. I took the old latch to experiment with when I have time and nothing better to do. The service manager finally admitted they had replaced a handful of hood latches before mine…
  17. You are probably getting close. Most drive shafts are balanced at factory where they are made. The small thin steel weights are added to the shaft to balance it. Check your drive shaft to see if you can see an outline of where a balance weight used to be… or maybe it was never balanced. The quality of most post covid vehicles has not yet gotten back to the pre covid vehicles.
  18. Yep, it was the doo hickey on the end of the thing a ma jig
  19. Whether it is a dealer or independent shop, most reputable alignment techs and the machines they use can print off the before and after toe, camber etc and be able to explain it to you in plain English. if not, go somewhere else who will.
  20. I agree with new dude…the OTA update is for fixes or problem avoidance. Unless you have gone deep into the inner bowels of the settings of your smartphone and disabled a ton of settings, it is the thing tracking everything, all locations you have been and when, speed, acceleration, quick or hard stops, crashes…. As well as listening….
  21. Great… is there a similar kit for the rear brakes for a 2019 Silverado LT Z1?
  22. ???? It is a natural function of a/c compressors to generate condensate as result of the refrigeration process. Do not care if it is a vehicle or a house:.. Thr water is generated and must be drained away…. Usually a problem with vehicles a/c is the condensate drain hose gets clogged by debris or bugs and that is not good. if your system is properly charged then something else in the way of temperature controller/rheostat/thermostat or blend door is the problem if the air is not cold enough for you.
  23. Keep taking it back to dealership. You may be able to invoke the lemon law and get it replaced.
  24. Vibration all over or is it one side? The drive shaft usually needs to balanced after it is made. You would see one or more pieces of metal welded to the shaft… perhaps one or all were knocked off the shaft or improperly spot welded:
