  1. Interesting. Seeing the fuel dilution, although not that high it is still higher than it needs to be. Nitration is good so that is showing that it is efficient on combustion. TBN being low isn't great at all for the miles on the engine. To think there are individuals out there that are using this and going 5k or longer. Doesn't RotoFab make a dry filter? That would be a better option IMO. If I had to do it all over again, I would have not put the GM cold air intake on mine and just used the stock filter set up and just changed out the tube from the filter box to the intake. Then ran Fram air filters and changed them out every 10k or so. The only thing I use an oiled air filter for is my cabin air filter. So I got a K&N for that. Did you use any fuel additives? What grade brand fuel?
  2. Wow, they must have had a ton of it exra for it still being that price. I got two cases for the oil changes I do for the friends that can use a break on cost of an oil change. $3.99 is a great price for this oil.
  3. I hope you have a speed recovery. Like stated, do what you can in the way of post surgery PT. It will be tough but the benefit is what you want. To be back to no pain. I tore both Pectoral muscles, stupid Air Force didn't see fit to have them reattached. But then that was back in 1984. Times have changed for sure. Yes getting old sucks for sure.

  5. Thanks, I have a new battery. Put it in not long ago.
  6. I searched and didn't find anything. I can open my sunroof on my 2019 Silverado but when I go to close it. It will get to the wind screen and then go back open. Like it is hitting something but there isn't anything in the way. I was at one time able to get it to close by pulling on the sun shade while it closed, but this time it didn't work. It would just stop and go back open. I was finally able to get it to close. What I did was started the truck and with it running. I held the close button in and the sunroof closed to the point where it was stopping and returning open and stopped. Then I released the button and pushed it again and it closed. So now, did I do some kind of reset? I'm not going to open it until next week when I will have more time to mess with it if it will not close again. Anyone have idea's?
  7. I just drive in manual mode and put it in L9. No more auto/stop or DFM. MPG didn't change either.
  8. If it is just on vent and not AC the duct work can be warm enough to keep the air coming in pretty warm, especially if it is hot out.
  9. OK guys, lets keep this page to posting oil changes please. Thanks
  10. I drive on the beach down here at the Fort Fisher Recreation area beach. I air down my 285/70/18 Toyo Open Country ATIII down to 18psi and use my 4L. Just keep moving slow and don't turn fast or accelerate hard and you will be fine.
  11. $2.89 here for regular
  12. Vehicles today just are not built to last, to many extra parts to break. I had to replace my fuel control module back by the spare tire. $127 and all is well. Thanks to Youtube and various individuals that took the time to trouble shoot the code I had P0499.
  13. Sorry to hear this, hopefully it was caught early.
  14. Contact this place. Boss Hog. I talked to them at SEMA last year. They are well aware of the issues and GM transmissions and TC. They can get you set up and even rebuild your converter and make improvements. Tell them nicktheamsoilguy sent you. They probably will not remember me since they talked to so many people. SEMA is a great place to go if you ever get a chance and can get in.
  15. My question is, what mileage was on he Ford, what brand oil did he use and at what interval? That is a nasty filter and to me he didn't do changes like he should have. Also what kind of driving conditions? All stop and go with short distances? Highway? So many variables. Wish he would have gave a little more information.
  16. Yeah, just saw that. Might have to pass for now.
