  1. It has been my understanding that going with anything other than AC Delco or NGK plugs can cause all kinds of issues. I've seen many posts where someone tried a different brand, only to go back to AC Delco or NGK. I always just stick with them. Rock Auto sometimes runs specials on plugs.
  2. Welcome to GMT.
  3. It's cool that Holley came out with this. It gives options for sure. I still feel you get the best tune and capabilities when you have it professionally tuned because it covers everything and not just a preset tune. A dyno tune or street driven tune is the way to go. Since most don't think twice about dropping $5K on wheels lift and tires, what's $2k for a professional tune that you can have forever. Tire's wear out and there is another $1,500 at least, every time.
  4. Sorry to hear. Hoping for a speedy recovery and not much pain.
  5. It's not hard. The biggest thing is getting the exhaust out of the way. There are video's on YouTube.
  6. Nice video! I always put a little bit of dielectric grease on the spark plug boots. Makes the next change easier to get the boots off.
  7. I just get in and drive. No waiting, even when I lived in PA with the cold winters.
  8. I'll have to check out SG3. My SG2 has been great, but one time it had issues, I contacted SG and they said send it in. I did and they fixed it and sent it back, no charge. This is after owning it for 7yrs. Great company! I use it on my Cruze diesel to keep track of regens and transmission temps.
  9. I know the CASTEC head issues were a thing and some had luck using the GM coolant tablets. I used them in my 2002 when I flushed the coolant out at the 5yr mark and put AMSOIL coolant back in. Never an issue and I read somewhere online that GM used them from the factory. The reason was due to aluminum heads on an iron block. GM wanted to keep things from leaking. I also saw on the Northstar forum that they were a common use item on that engine as well.
  10. I have not used this service. Interesting to see how it would be sent back and to read the results. How it is interpreted so to speak. The cost is higher than Blackstone or Oil Analyzers/Polaris Labs. I couldn't find, but didn't look to long, the total information that you would get back like TAN, TBN which are extra costs for Blackstone.
  11. I installed the Eibach 2.0 Pro kit on my 2019 with Cognito UCA's and Trail Boss axles and the ride is way better than stock. Not to soft and I don't bottom out going over speed bumps like with the stock set up. I think you will like the Eibachs.
  12. Nice, just curious but are you an AMSOIL Preferred Customer. That is the best pricing you can get with extra bonuses.
  13. If shifts great. No issues. It’s my understanding the Ford 10sp tune is way different and that’s mostly the issues they are having. I have 25k on the fluid so far.
  14. I have a friend that works at the chevy parts department. I gave him my VIN and he gave me the correct part number for my TPMS. I then found them on eBay for $40 for all 4.
  15. Not sure if they have one for the new refreshed interior but never hurts to contact them. I have their mount for my 2019 silverado and love it. https://coursemotorsports.com/collections/phone-mounts-1/products/chevrolet-gmc-1500-direct-fit-magnetic-phone-mount
  16. More than likely it is the rear main. You have covered all the other places that it could be for the most part.
  17. I installed the Eibach Pro 2.0 kit on my 2019 along with Congito upper control arms and Trail Boss axles. Man, it rides so much better now than stock. It should have come this way from the factory.
  18. AMSOIL's Heavy-Duty Metal Protector is another option. It dries to a wax film and I have several customers that really like it. Easy to apply and about 5 cans will cover the average truck underside. If interested let me know and I can quote to your door with the GM-Trucks discount.
  19. AMSOIL's Heavy-Duty Metal Protector works well as an undercoating. Dries to a wax film. Several customers use it for that purpose and love it.
  20. It's a gamble for the most part. I have done fluid exchanges on transmissions and they lasted a long time after. Then I have done the same on those like that with over 100k miles and with in 5k miles they went out. You just never know. Our 6L80 went at 82k, even though I did early fluid changes and installed a lower transmission thermostat. To me GM's design is bad, or their lowest bidder has a bad design on the TC's that are used. I was at SEMA last week and all the torque converter companies I talked to said the same thing. The GM TC is a bad unit from the start. If you have good luck with it then great but what they see come into the shop shows the TC isn't designed well. I guess just to get past the warranty is all that matters anymore. The days of the everlasting turbo 400 and 350's are gone.
