  1. Free isn't free, it is built into the price of the vehicle. Now if they said they would give you the cost of the oil change in dollars back and do the oil change then that truly would be free.
  2. I'm not 100% on this but my 2002 had a drain plug from the factory. Couldn't you just get one from that year?
  3. I got mine on ebay and I got a case of them, 12 total and it worked out to be $4.50 a filter. I use them on customers Chevy Traverse that I change oil on for them.
  4. 6/17/2021 2019 Silverado 6.2 20,118 total miles 10,000 miles on oil OLM at 65% Oil AMSOIL Signature Series ASM 0w-20 Ea017 Installed Fumoto valve.
  5. You can see what your vehicle takes fluid wise by looking it up here. It looks like it takes 8.5 pints of fluid for your rear diff, that is if you have the Dana 11 ring gear.
  6. I changed out the fluid in the front and rear differentials. The front I sucked out since the harness for the power steering and other stuff was in the way. I didn't feel like messing with that. The rear I pulled the cover off, cleaned up the magnet and put it back on using the original seal. So far 20k miles no leaks. I also did the transfer case. I can say that the AMSOIL Squeeze Packs work awesome. No mess to deal with.
  7. I have not had either but did have the BF Goodrich All Terrains and loved them. From what I can tell the Nitto's are the way to go. Seems to be a great tire and I might try it when I need to replace my tires.
  8. Here is some information on it. 10sp service
  9. So the truck will not start and all you are getting is a click?
  10. I have found that if you use www.car-part.com and put in what you are looking for it will tell you the available parts that will work with that application. So if you put in that you are looking for a rear diff for your 2009, then all the differentials that will replace it will be listed. At least that is my understanding.
  11. 93 every tank. I got the 6..2 for the performance. It pulls timing back to keep from detonation and so you loose performance and economy. Sure it will run on 87 but with the timing retarded you will not get the full benefit of power out of the 6.2.
  12. To me it is just a matter of giving everyone a choice. Choose the one you like best for your reasons and go with it. Some like this over the Fumoto and some like the Fumoto over this. Either way the customer is the one that is happy.
  13. Yes, the loud cold start up never really bothered me at our old house since it was in the garage. But now in a new house with closer neighbors and truck is outside. It kind of bothers me some, especially on those 5AM mornings that we have to leave the house for an Ainsley's Angels even. But the sound while passing or going up on-ramps and such is awesome. Quiet as can be just cruising down the interstate.
  14. Good idea to have the transmission done at 50k. Keep up that rule and your transmission will love you long time!
  15. The most I got was $90 for my Hot Wheels Redline Custom Barracuda.
  16. Spark chasing is a master art all on it's own. Hopefully the OP will see the post on the ckp.
  17. The more I read into this the more I'm thinking it is the blend doors moving. Also, if you have a cabin air filter, check it or replace it if you have not done so in a while.
  18. Interesting. When I have customers that have questions like this because of something not being right when they switch over to AMSOIL I help out as much as I can to find out what is going on. If there is an issue then it needs to be brought to AMSOIL's attention. I've ran the Severe Gear 75w-90 for over 200k miles in my 2002 Silverado differential with changing it twice and no issues and the UOA came back good. It is hard for any manufacture or business to improve on a product or correct a problem if it isn't reported back. This is why I do what I can to help out all my customers. To find answers and correct issues if possible.
  19. Unless it is using oil and there is a lot of oil in the intake system I wouldn't think it is a major issue other than possible condensation. I guess take to the dealer and let them look at it so it is in your records. Let us know if there is oil in the intake tubing.
  20. Just curious but how is the oil level? Can you take the intake off and see how much if any oil is in the intake tube? Is this with it fully warmed up to operating temperature?
  21. AMSOIL isn't on the official GM list. It meets/exceeds the specification. You used their oil in your Cummins with good results. Why the hesitation on it with using in the 3.0?
  22. Compared to my 2002 Silverado my 2019 is HUGE!
  23. I don't know of anyone using it for now. I'm sure there will be some that do and someone will check in on this thread. You can't go wrong with AMSOIL in your Duramax. I was super happy that AMSOIL came out with an oil specific for this application. Back when it was released AMSOIL and AC Delco brand were the only source at the time. Not sure what is available now. But running a full 100% synthetic is a great way to keep it clean and it running cool. Do you have a source for AMSOIL? If not let me know I can help and save you some money on your purchase.
