  1. Thanks for clarifying, I didn’t know this was talking about the idle hours. And no, my truck doesn’t have idle hours.
  2. I have a 2019 Sierra SLT. It has an engine hours screen that pops up every time I start the truck.
  3. Well, ok. By “dog slow” maybe you mean a Greyhound or an Afghan hound??
  4. The wiper cowl at the bottom of the windshield.
  5. Yes I’ve gotten a few tonneau covers as some other truck items from him as well. All of my experiences have been great. I leaned about him through another (Ford) forum back when I had an F150.
  6. You have to assign the saved seating position to one of your keyfobs in order for it to do what you’re describing. Look in your owner manual and I will tell you how. I can’t recall off the top of my head.
  7. If you go with the LoMAX, get ahold of Luke at Truck Alterations. I got mine from him for $675 shipped, which was significantly lower than anyone else I could find. This was in December 2019. [email protected]
  8. The AgriCover LoMAX is pretty great.
  9. My money would be on it being an issue with the window, not body flex. I’m not saying that flex may not crack the window frame, but our trucks are more rigid now than in years past, I would think. I only say this based on having earlier trucks with C-channel frames that flexed and twisted like crazy. Sometimes to the point that doors wouldn’t close when under extreme flex. I don’t recall any of my windows on those trucks leaking. So that’s why I go back to the design of the window being the culprit.
  10. Mine was the same way. Drivers side right vent. The passenger side left vent too, but not as bad. Just earlier this week I ended up disassembling the center dash so I could get to the vents. Completely disassembled the vent down to the louvers (??). Ended up using my heat gun to slightly reshape/fatten/tighten where the the louvers are held in place. It now has just a bit more resistance to where they won’t fall on their own anymore. Took me about an hour (maybe a bit more), and I figure was easier than messing with trying to get the dealer to fix it.
  11. How many miles? I have a 2019 SLT with 7,000 miles and their offer to me was $45,582. I paid just under that amount brand new in 11/2019.
  12. I have the LoMAX and the tailgate drops just fine when using the remote open.
  13. There are two screws at the bottom that have to come out. To get to them you have to remove the center console upper trim and then another small trim price that hides the screws. Look at YouTube for the Auto Stop Eliminator. That video has instructions in how to remove the radio bezel that you’re trying to remove.
  14. For those of you that go to drive in theaters in your truck, how are you keeping the radio on through the movie? Mine times out after 10 minutes or so. I know there’s a service mode, but worried that could drain the battery faster. Any other way to keep the radio on?
  15. With a trailer that long, I’d be more concerned with that than the weight. Just my opinion, but that’s too much length for a half ton stability.
  16. I paid the $20 and signed up for a 3-day subscription to the GM Service Info on the acdelcotds.com website. I was looking for R&R instructions for something else, but took a look at the recent TSB’s and saw this one.
  17. Thanks. I’ll have to find that video. I’ve been looking on YT but haven’t found anything for the new body style trucks.
  18. Did you have to disassemble any of the front components to get the front struts out? Anything that would require an alignment?
  19. Please let us know how that spring compressor works. I’ve heard that those clam style tools work better/safer than the ones that you can rent at the auto parts store.
  20. There are “bad” dealers for virtually every car manufacturer. If you want their product and come across a “bad” dealer, then you find a better dealer. If you don’t really care about what make you’re buying, then go next door like you did. But being real, an F150 XLT isn’t comparable to a LTZ. There are several key differences that make even a base LTZ high optioned than a 302A XLT. But congrats on the new Ford. They’re good trucks. I came from a 2016 5.0 myself. It’s a great motor, although not ideally suited to a truck IMO. But unloaded they’re a real blast to drive!
  21. No, GM removed the Messages app from their infotainment system. Their lousy answer is to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
  22. GM just came out with a new bulletin about this earlier this month, and then revised it this week. I was having the issue, so had the GMC dealership update the software yesterday. We'll see if it stops these codes from coming back. When checking for DTCs, the Engine Control Module (ECM) will set P25A2 indicating that the BSCM (Brake System Control Module) has set DTCs. The BSCM will have set any combination of multiples of the following communication DTCs. DTCs can be set current or in history. Technicians may find the following DTCs set: P25A2 U0422 U0420 U0151 U0159 U0146 U0140 U0132 U0131 U0114 U0102 U0101 U0100 U0074 U0073 U023A U026A Cause The cause of the condition may be due to a software anomaly. For these U-codes, the BSCM may detect vehicle motion after driver’s foot is released from the brake pedal and parking pawl engaged. If motion is detected within 5 seconds prior to stoppage of CAN communications, after engine shutdown, the BSCM will re-enable its CAN bus communications and search for messages from the CAN bus. When messages are not detected, the BSCM will set U-code DTCs and also cause the P25A2 from the ECM to set. Correction Reprogram the Brake System Control Module (BSCM) with the latest update. Service Procedure Caution: Before downloading the update files, be sure the computer is connected to the internet through a network cable (hardwired). DO NOT DOWNLOAD or install the files wirelessly. If there is an interruption during programming, programming failure or control module damage may occur. Note: Carefully read and follow the instructions below. Ensure the programming tool is equipped with the latest software and is securely connected to the data link connector. If there is an interruption during programming, programming failure or control module damage may occur. Stable battery voltage is critical during programming. Any fluctuation, spiking, over voltage or loss of voltage will interrupt programming. Install a GM Authorized Programming Support Tool to maintain system voltage. Refer to www.gmdesolutions.com for further information. If not available, connect a fully charged 12V jumper or booster pack disconnected from the AC voltage supply. DO NOT connect a battery charger. Turn OFF or disable systems that may put a load on the vehicles battery such as; interior lights, exterior lights (including daytime running lights), HVAC, radio, etc. Clear DTCs after programming is complete. Clearing powertrain DTCs will set the Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) system status indicators to NO. Important: TIS2WEB screen shown. Techline Connect screen is similar and will be included soon. Important: If the Same Calibration/Software Warning is noted on the SPS screen, select OK and follow screen instructions. After a successful programming event, the WCC is located in the Service Programming System dialogue box of the SPS Summary screen. No further action is required. They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition.
