  1. The truck has been in the shop 4 times for the exact same issue. A trans sensor keeps going bad? I know i'm not getting charged for it when I go, so they are just replacing the same part. Personally I think it is a short going to one of the sensors, but they just tell me they replaced it. Next time it has to go in I'll have them look at other things. but just to add, hell yea I want a newer truck LOL. I just don't like the unreliability of this one. I have the option of waiting which is why I was asking about the 2022's. This truck has been paid off for a long time. My wife and I only do one car payment at a time, so I was hoping to get one soonish, since she will need another one in a couple of years
  2. thanks everyone. I really wanted a 2022 just for the interior. I am a little excited that the towing numbers increased on the 3.0. Not sure if its just cooling, software I don't know. I will try to hold off as long as I can. What helps is I do work from home, I'm just not able to get chores, landscaping, etc.. done. I think we're gonna just save 1k a month like we are making a payment and just use that as a downpayment. Hopefully I can wait that long, but if not, 2021 tundra here I come
  3. kind of need a truck. My trans is starting to go in limp mode a lot more often. I think there is a short leading to one of the trans sensors and I'm tired of being stranded (about 4 times)
  4. So I'm wanting to get a truck in the next 2-3 months. I was really wanting to wait until the 2022's come out, but everything I'm hearing, its not gonna be until LATE Q1, so April or so, and I can't wait that long. I've narrowed it down to 6.2, 3.0 or Tundra (2021 and under). My concern with the 6.2 GM is the lifters, and the 3.0 the long start. I know they will replace the lifters (the one thats bad) if its after 9k miles (I think thats right). I think I read where it was a bad batch, but has anyone isolated which batch or what plant they came from? Thanks for any help or advice!!
  5. looks great thank you for that!!!!
  6. I really want to look at the standard bed just because well... its longer . I do want to get at most a 4 inch lift and wanted to see if anyone had any pics of their standard bed lifted. Thanks for any help!
  7. thanks! I'm not gonna be racing it, but wasn't sure if a gas truck would need beefing up or tuning. 35's are gonna be the biggest tire size I go to. This would be my first gas truck in about 10 years so I'm kind of new to them
  8. Hey everyone, I'm possibly looking at a 6.2 and was wondering about the trans. and how much HP it can safely handle. I've had 3 duramax's and I knew that when you're getting close to the 450-500 HP range, things will start getting dicey. If I do get the 6.2, I'll probably be adding a whipple to it, or possibly tuning a 3.0. Thanks for any help!
  9. Looks awesome!!! Thanks for that
  10. Do you have any pics of this set up?? Thats the size and tire I'm looking at
  11. just to add, I dropped off the truck this afternoon and they gave me a 2019 Canyon. Night and day difference in driving that than my 2018 truck. Mechanic said to "be patient" then later clarified that they had a couple of Sierra's in for the transmission issue. We'll see what happens. I did ask about about the F150 on the lot
  12. to be honest I'm really wanting me to go to a 5.9 cummins with a stick, but still not sure. I take it in tomorrow so we'll see. Even if they fix it, it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth
  13. I don't have a vibration only problem, but add in a trans problem. That is the clunkiest POS trans I have ever driven. 2018 GMC Sierra All terrain.. When de-celerating, the trans tries to downshift and clunk, goes in to another gear. It was so bad this morning that i thought that the trans was going to fall out. And I do get vibration about 65-75... Not a bad vibration like the video in previous post, but noticeable. I had a LMM duramax with a 6 inch lift and 35's and that rode 100x better than this thing. Headed to the dealer on monday with a GM trans specialists to see what the deal is. If not, Ram here I come!
  14. I'd wait on a couple more people to chime in before buying
  15. maybe knock it down to 2.5 inch spacer?
  16. Exactly I’m not doing anything until it’s fixed, but in saying that, this is the last time I have it looked at (this will be trip #3). Next will be a ram 1500
  17. I’m heading in next week for an oil change and a list of stuff to check (mostly transmission clunking while downshifting) but I’ll let you know if they fix any of them
  18. I hope it rides better than stock lol. I've got the "chevy shake" and this things rides like crap. I was hoping getting new tires would help it out some. Dealership already did the transmission software update, so I don't know if it's bad tires (been road force balanced) or the TC.
  19. Looking for some people that have the superlift 3.5 lift and how they like it.. Also I'm looking to see how it compares to the zone 4.5.. I will be keeping the stock wheels. Thanks for any help!
  20. awesome thanks!! I want to get a little bit taller tire (275/65r20) so maybe that helps out some?? Hell I don't know anymore lol
  21. just reading from TireRack, will this not work with the GMC All-terrain package???? Thats the one lift I had everything narrowed down to
  22. I’ve heard of vibration issues at a stop are the RPMs being too low. I think it’s set to about 500 rpm which is a little low. From what I’m reading the rpm can be changed with tuning (like diablew)
  23. I just don’t know if I want to sink $800 in to a brand new truck (in my case). I’d rather take a loss and get a ram truck. It’s all about the principle with me. Either way I taking it to the dealership tomorrow where I bought it and see what they do
  24. Well I’m taking it to dealer #2 to check and see what the vibration is about, along with the steering wheel being off center as well as the transmission (clunk, downifting). Dealer said that’s kind of “normal” and it’s probably tranny fluid needing replacing. Anyway I’ll report back with their “findings” ?
  25. The only reason I haven’t gotten rid of it now is because I’d lose about 4K trading it in, but at this point it might be worth it to not get driveline work done, new tires, and new shocks. I’m gonna see what this dealer has to do or say and go from there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
