Transfer Case Or Drive Shaft Rattle

My 2000 Suburban has a loud rattle when coasting at very slow speeds (like in parking lots where you get really embarrassed!) The u-joints are tight but twisting the yoke going into the transfer case allows me to turn it a little bit and it makes a rattle. Is it normal to be able to turn the yoke a little by hand? Does it normally rattle a bit when doing so? Could my transfer case be bad? could there be another issue or something else I could check?

 

It drives fine otherwise.

I think i found my issue. The u-joint would slide side to side slightly. It looks like the retainer clip is not on all the way and therefore the cap is not all the way in. after pushing the cap in more, the side to side slide is gone and so is the rattle!
