Urgent Help Needed. Bose Issue W/ Adapter:( ***strange***

Ok guys i have a Kenwood DNX-5120 and a Neucleus Bose adapter #NC-GM39B. My truck doesn't have onstar but it says something about Onstar on the control box of the adapter. It has 2 plugs going into the H/U and one says something about Onstar 8pin plug. The other side goes to the stock harness. I triple checked all my connections and they are perfect. anyway when i uplug the plug that says Onstar it kills the radio but plug it back in and fires right up. Ok now to the issue. Everything works on the H/U except no sound at all. When i open the drivers door when the vehicles out of park it will chime the door and the radio will play sound for about 2-3 seconds and then shuts off. It will not do this in park. The sound is great when it works. This is really throwing me for a loop. I got the kit from a well known vendor on CorvetteForum.com and he asked his distributor and this is the harness he said i needed so the vendor ordered it. I'm mostly worried about the fact it says something about onstar:(. I think that when the truck is in gear and the door is open it somehow triggers the amp and that's why it works. Like the harness gets power only when power is sent to the door open signal. I thought about piggy backing a 12v Switched to the pink amp power trigger wire on the stock harness and see if that fixes it. It's almost like the amp gets a quick trigger and then it shuts off:( I'm really at a loss for idea's so any pro's or people that have had similar issues would be great. ~Cole~

P.S. i wire commercial grade GPS/radio systems into metro buses so i should be able to figure this out but i'd like to see if there are any shortcuts to try. I'm half tempter to try and see if the pink wire goes hot when the door is opened and then goes dead after a few seconds. The H/U is new btw.

The plugs on the adapter are idiot proof as they are all keyed seperatly and the kit came with the Bose amp adapter harness and the stupid Onstar side and i'm thinking that's the issue:(

Ok i didn't want to wait anymore and went and did some testing. Figured that with the box it was timing out the 12v switched going to the amp pink wire. So i parrallel spliced the orange switched to the pink and viola she worked. All works great;)
