2.8 To 5.7

Hey just quick question. Got a 2.8 Fuel Injected in a 89 s10. Wondering what I would have to do to put a 5.7 350 Fuel Injected in it? From like a 1988 1989 half ton. So its the older style motor. Thanks

You'll want all the wiring from the donor truck. You definitely need to use the donor truck PCM. As far as physically fitting, I believe there are several companies that make kits. I think exhaust headers/manifolds is the toughest part. Should make a nice project, and a fast truck.

Thanks. Yeah you can buy kits. What all wiring will I have to change?

Since this is a pretty popular swap, I would say that the company that sells the kits also would have a wire harness. Seems to me you would need from the firewall forward into the engine bay. Aren't there junction blocks that just plug in now-a-days??? I have wanted to tackle something just like this, but I need to clear out a little space first

Yeah I could just look around and see what I can find. Should be fun once its done
