Amps for sale

I have 2 amps I am thinking of selling. Anyone in the market?

Sony XM 10020 - 100x2 @ 4ohms, 200x2 @ 2 ohms, bridgeable

Sony XM 4040 - 40x4 @ 4ohms, 60x4 @ 2 ohms, bridgeable

These are PRE-XPlode! models. They have been used to drive a pair of Soundstream 10's and (2) component sets of 5 1/4's.

I do not have a good idea as to their worth. Make an offer.

You still selling these amps? If so, how much are you asking for the 2 channel one? How well did it push those 10's?

They are still sitting where they were. They worked very well for me. I had them driving 2 4ohm 10's bridged mono to show a single 2 ohm load.

Each sub was in a sealed 1.63 cu ft enclosure in a Cherokee.

gotta question about the amps... are they HX models? (ie high current) The easiest way to find out is to see if there is a switch on the bottom for hi curr/hi volt. makes the amp 1ohm stable. I would have to say that if not they are probably worth about 50 a piece... maybe....

Why am I always on the wrong side of a deal like that? I paid over $800 for them.

I would think they are worth at least $100 each because they are both working and in good condition. I am not sure it is worth $50 each to try and sell them. If that is all I could get, I would probably either use them or throw them away. It ain't worth the hassle of shipping them to net $100 total.

yup thats the route I would go... I have a 754HX 75Wx4 that I paid just over $300 for... usually it costs about $1/W RMS for decent amps... somtimes $1.50-2.00 depends on quality... I use my amp for interior... 75is more than enough for interior speakers esp 5.25 or 6.5" speakers.. 6x9 you need most of the 75w for a decent set... for the subs I usually will run better quality... such as RF, PG... Although I don't think I'll be using RF anytime soon... I've burned 4 already... thank goodness for xtended wrty.
