07 Yukon Drivers Mirror

I need help with replacing the glass on my 07 Yukon Denali drivers side mirror.

 

The part is #15874992, its the heated, turn signal,auto folding, auto dimming mirror glass with plastic frame and backing. This installs into the mirror assembly on the door. Unfortunately their is a transition piece between the two that wont come off the old mirror glass black plastic frame.

 

Can anyone advise how to get the new mirror glass back into the assembly?

 

Any diagrams would be outstanding.
