On Demad Alternator Stinks

I have a 09 5.3 GMC and I cant stand the way the alt gauge drops down and stays down most of the time. Does anybody know how to bypass/override this economy mode without having to turn on the headlights or put in tow/haul mode?? It bugs the s** out of me.

I always check my gauges and after years of driving GMC trucks just feels like somthing is wrong. Maybe I can learn to ignore it, dont know? I like to see the alt working

You'll get used to it. It is working just fine. Should last longer actually.
