2004 Silverado Half Ton Tranny Issue

my transmission sorta "bumps" from 1st to 2nd, its not super harsh unless i get on it, it also sort of does it down shifting..is this normal or am i damaging the tranny? or is there a fix? i'm soooo tired of putting money into the trans.

2004 silvy, 98k on the clock as of today...uh tranny fluid was changed maybe 15k ago along with the filter...besides both rear tranny seals plus front pump seal the tranny has been ok...just the awkward bump shifts

i'm not sure ,get a tranny guy to road test ,I've felt that before and never did find out what is was ,the 2-4 band comes on ,maybe something with the servo ???not sure bud

i've driven three different trucks, an 01 sierra,two 03 silvys all with engines rangeing from 4.3-5.3 and they all did this bump shifting...idk if it normal under "gm's standards" i'm just wondering what the hell is doing it and if its damageing

... any dtc codes come on...???

 

... could be as simple as a shift solenoid wearing/leaking

 

... or as bad as .... the first signs of transmission burnout/failure

 

... get it to a transmission shop for diagnosis.... the longer you leave it, the more expensive/extensive the repair will have to be.

no codes every from the truck minus one for loss of communication with the pcm, which the dealer fixed...the tranny fluid is always clean and debris free...i just don't want to go into a dealer and pay out of my ass having them go on a wild hunt for something that could be normal...the trucks tranny was flushed at 50k and i had the fluid and filter changed at 90kish and no problems besides a stripped drain plug
