sse01 Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 I am building a speaker box for some 6x9's. Is there a rule of thumb or formula on how much volume the box should have for the speaker to perform it's best? If I am using one box for two speakers, should the speakers be separated from each other (I.E., have the box divided in the center? Thanks for your help.
NeXuS1 Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 check the specs on the speakers, just about all of them should list the air space requirements. you can always contact the company that made them, they should be able to help you out. there isn't a magic number that'll work for all speakers. for the most part its suggested to divide a shared box. give each speaker their own section with the correct airspace.
