cubby hole

I am trying to remove my stock cassette player and replace it with the cubby hole that takes it's place.   I have already removed the 2 screws and the cover and released the player from the slot/slide.  My question is how do you get your fat fingers in there to remove the wiring harness from the back of the stock cass player???

Only way I can think of is from the dr/s back side of the console, if you can get  your hands in there.  Just got done taking everything out, but I removed the console first and to do this you have to remove the seats, don't think you want to do that.

I've tried that, but the bracket for the center console is in the way.  I may have some time to mess with it later in the week.
