i put 285/70/17s (~33") on mine, i leveled it first though so i dunno if theyll fit without a level. i have 305/70/17s (~34") now, and im pretty sure they wouldnt have fit without the lift, but not 100% since i put the lift and tires on at the same time.

Thanks guys, 285/70/17s installed, pick my truck up Monday. Shop said they fit fine with no rubbin' at all.

 

How far off was your speedometer going from the stock 265 - 285? Have to make any changes to your computer?

my 01 came with 265 75 16's, and I went to 285 75 16's,,, and while the speedo isn't off much, you do lose a speck of power.. I just noticed it shifting more when the cruise was on(on roads it'd not down shift on before)..

 

I use my truck 60% or better in the woods,, so the bigger tire is worth it.. if all of my time was on road or if I towed heavy crap more, I'd stay stock..

 

my gearing is 3:73 btw
