Factory Exhaust Upgrade

I have to take my 2007 GMT900 in for a couple warranty issues, one of which is for a hole that has rusted through in the back of the muffler. My question is does GM offer any performance exhaust options? Should I be able to pay the difference between the stock exhaust price and the GM Performance option? Anyone done this?

Never tried to see if GM would cover the exhaust and upgrade for the difference but it's worth a try. AND yes, GM does offer a Performance exhaust made by Corsa.

 

But... your hole in the back of the muffler could be there on purpose. They have a weep hole at the bottom rear that would resemble a "leak". It's there to release moisture so it doesn't rust out.

Crap, now I am going to have to take another look. I know I have seen water leak out of the hole, but really didn't get under there and really inspect it good enough. As you mentioned it was probably just doing its job... Time to walk out to the parking lot...

Corsa stopped making them around 2005. The reason, they refused to put GMs name on them. They have been made since then by Borla. Had one 3 years ago. Had Borla on the instructions. And I have spoke to Corsa and Borla on this subject.

 

Oh yeah, thats a weep hole in the muffler. It is supposed to be there.
