Changing Tire Size

My 2007 Silverado new body has the Z71 package, which includes 265/65/18 tires. I've been noticing that 265/60/18 tires are quite a bit cheaper. Would there be any ride difference or changes I'd need to make to go to that size?

Also, has anyone heard of a tire company named Nexen?

overall they would be an inch shorter, have 3/4" less sidewall, and have a 4" smaller circumfrence, so you would obviously have more revolutions per mile. IMO, I'd stay with stock size, or a size bigger, also, I've never heard of Nexen, but I'd stick with some of the more common brands, and I think you'll be happy

Yes. If you change diameter. Otherwise your off about 2mph

Crap. Would the tire shop be able to reprogram it or will I need to take it to the dealer?

 

The 265/60/18s are so much cheaper than the stockers.
